The Gay Wedding Cake Case | Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission

Don't get it twisted- the wedding cake itself was not gay. However, the wedding cake was for a same-sex wedding. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding.

Memphis and Nashville Compared

We filmed on location for this Compared video. What a treat it was to get to visit both cities for a few days back in April. As many of you already know, I'm a pretty big music fan, so these are two of my favorite cities in the country by far. That said, Nashville is getting too crowded, dad gomit. In episode 74 of Supreme Court Briefs, two teenage boys get arrested for being obscene to a woman in an apparent prank telephone call.

It ended up being the prank call that led to kids having constitutional rights, so I'd say it was the most important prank call of all time. :)

Reading an Anti-Socialism Children's Book

I will preface this by saying that I generally don't like socialism. At least, I don't think it's a good approach at the federal level for a country as big as the United States. Locally, I think it could definitely work, especially within a single company. 

Anyway, I don't like indoctrination more than I don't like socialism. I was heavily indoctrinated growing up, so perhaps that's why I felt compelled to make this video. I know it's a bit spicier than most of my stuff, but I just...

After several delays, I am so excited to finally be releasing this one. It's been a long time coming. I put off making it for awhile initially since I was so worried about getting it correct. Overall, I'm proud of how it turned out.

The Most Terrifying President in American History

Wow, what an experience it was making this video. I learned a lot and spent a lot of time on it. It's my longest and most epic President video yet. I tried to cut a lot out of Jackson's story, but his story is just so darn interesting that it was extremely difficult to cut much out. Sure, the video is nearly 45 minutes long, but I guarantee you the details will keep you engaged. He just had such a fascinating life.

The First Supreme Court Case That Mattered | Chisholm v. Georgia

In episode 73 of Supreme Court Briefs, the Georgia government borrows money from a dude and never pays it back, which is kind of messed up. What results ultimately leads to the passing of the 11th Amendment and the first major Supreme Court decision in American history.

Now that I've written my book, expect many more of these episodes to come out, by the way. :)

I wrote another book!

For the past year or so, I've been writing a book all about the Supreme Court of the United States of America. I'm happy to announce that it's finally available. My main goal for the book was to make the Court accessible to a wider audience, so hopefully this is not a boring read. It features 100 of the most important (imho) Supreme Court cases in history. If you're a fan of my Supreme Court videos, you'll probably dig it.

When I first found out about this event, I was in disbelief, but sure enough, it did happen. Here's the story of the time a KKK baseball team played a Negro League Baseball League team. It happened in 1925. Despite the racism of the time, it went surprisingly well.

Can the President really suspend habeas corpus?

In my opinion, no. But that's just my legal opinion. In this Short, I look at whether or not an American President actually has the authority to suspend the writ of habeas corpus, the requirement that a person under arrest is brought before a judge or into a court to know why they are arrested.

What if the United States DID get a national divorce?

Recently, U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene Tweeted that she was in support of a "national divorce," and that led to a national dialogue here in the United States. In this video, I attempt to examine what a "national divorce" in the United States would look like.

Spoiler alert- I don't think a "national divorce" is going to happen any time soon. One thing I left out was that "red states" and "blue states" change from red to blue and blue to red all the time.
