The start of a beauty. This is the 1st WIP of the Student Life Cover art. Unfortunately I won't be able to touch this again until September 2nd. September is the wrap-Up month for SL and along with the last 3 pages we'll be finishing up this Cover featuring Manny Scott a.k.a. Munchkin. SL has turned out to be kind of an origin story for Munchkin and I look forward to finishing it up and having it behind me so that we can move on to bigger and better things.

This Timelapse briefly goes through the coloring process and applying hard shadows to the model. Once the base colors have been added and we were happy with the choices made we went in and rendered her face and neck area in higher detail. Finally we softened up her chest area and drew in hair strands to cap things off. Hope you enjoy it!

I learned a lot working on this piece. I'm a fan of having time to paint in hyper details and this gave me the chance to do so.
