Well, hello! Finally... a new yoga series to follow along with at your leisure.
I'm sectioning this class into 3-parts because it was a lonnng session. The files become so large that it really just takes forever to edit, save, and upload... so I thought I'd work on them one at a time.
It's a bit of a silly intro, and maybe you'll have a laugh... or roll your eyes :) hahaha! But I'm aiming to get some good comments when the consolidated version goes up on YouTube.
The plan is...

Hello Patrons!
I am back, and GETTING BACK to my body once again. I've improved the lighting since I filmed this video :) and am excited to be sharing a lot more!
Here is a ~15min session, to step in again!
This sequence will warm up your hips and legs, strengthen your shoulders and arms, and gently massage the tight spots in your hamstrings and back.
Note- Before I ventured into this practice, I started with Legs Up The Wall, so I definit...

Just a girl with some stones in the arroyo! :)
During my daily walks along the arroyo, even though I wasn't in a swimsuit every day, I always thought to myself, "I might have stepped out of the ocean, but the ocean will never step out of me."
This month I'm practicing my photo editing skills with 3 different photoshoots from the arroyo. I really fell in love with looking at the stones in sunlight during different parts of the day. Even though there is no water, you can see t...

Well hello, everyone :)
This video is the complete flow from Stepping Stones practice. In place of a voice-over, I have selected music that I hope you will enjoy!
The beginning of this session takes time to stretch your quadriceps, aka quads (a group of hip-flexor muscles). There are four quadriceps (duh) so you will notice that I take time for at least 3-4 different angles.
Lying prone (on your stomach, like Cobra) reach back and grab your foot. Bring your foot to your butt...

Hey gang! I'm so glad you are joining me for the stepping stones. And I'm happy to say that I've got my music back in this video!!!
This will be a great practice for you, once you've completed Asana Practice One and Two, from Stepping Stones to Flow!
If you missed the first two classes this month, I encourage you to go back and follow along with them both. You'll learn the tips I share for deeper stretches, hip alignment, posture transition, and breathing body techn...

What's up Patrons,
So, I was wondering...
Can you count to 10 in your Downward Dog, while breathing?
How about counting 10 complete breaths in the asana?
Because if you cannot... I recommend watching this video. Practice entering and exiting your Downdog, with natural movement. Practice holding the position with focus on your hands and feet. Practice deepening your complete breaths.
And if you CAN stay in Downdog for at least 10 seconds or so... I recommend...

HELLO PATRONS!!! I am so happy to be sitting here, writing to you and finalizing the first video of my new series. It has been an especially crazy start to the new month... let me tell you. Whatever could have gone wrong, did go wrong.
The mopping situation that interrupted my first video was just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. To be honest, the move itself is the entire iceberg. We were supposed to be living here for 2 years... but no sooner had we arrived were we told that t...

Hello Patrons,
In this message I'm sharing a few pics that I've taken recently as I figure out this new monster of a camera. In addition to making yoga videos, I've been exploring photography in the great snowy outdoors-- and making videos too but it takes a lot more time to finalize a complete video project. So, here are some pics I have ready to share :) One of which is a snapshot from my Behind-the-Scenes video. You can watch a snippet of the video on Instagram (I'm _hellocourtney__)...

Hello wonderful Patrons!
I hope this message finds you well in the severe weather. Here is a new video, but first, I want to tell you about this video! Keep reading, and I'll also tell you about what I'm working right now, and what's up next :)
About this video - I actually filmed/edited this video in December and did not feel like sharing it at the time because #1 it did not fit with the vibe of other videos, and #2 the angles are not ideal (you'll see).&nb...

Hello Patrons,
This week I'm sharing a short and sweet inverted core activity for you to do. Sounds good doesn't it? This video is 3 exercises you can do as you kick back and lift your hips to a mild inversion:
I had fun picking the music for this one. I'll tell you more when you hit play :)

Here is a condensed version of Shoulderstand Cycle 3 (with a bonus yoga pose to add to your practice)!
Wowweee, is it an intense WAKE UP to the power of musculoskeletal action that creates hip flexion AND knee extension. I often refer to the quads and psoas for hip flexion, but specifically it is the gracilis muscle (one of the four quadriceps) that is involved in both-- hip flexion and knee extension-- simultaneo...

So, Prioritize This Video~ it will take you to the next level of core support, hip access, and upper body strength. In addition, you get to continue nourishing your endocrine system with the inversion effect (regardless of whether or not you attempt the full Shoulderstand)!

What’s up patrons. It’s late right now but I’m so pumped that I just completed a custom video. Here are some silly pics I took for the thumbnail this weekend. You can guess the props I used for the practice....
The fourth picture is me trying to “play catch” and toss the camera a yoga block. It also looks like scales....
Anyway.
It was so fun to make a custom video!!! And I’m really looking forward to making the 3rd video of Shoulderstand Cycle.

My immersion into Shoulderstand video is not quite ready... because in addition to upgrading my video quality to recording in 4k, I am also upgrading my audio (and I need fresh batteries before it will work to make the voiceover!) So I decided to whip up a 20min version of Restore Your Energy.
This 20min video skips over 7 of the 12 yoga poses (including Shoulderstand) and focuses on shoulderstand preparation with a well-rounded selection of poses.
Hello Patrons,
Your video this week takes a restorative approach to the new year. The winter season invites us to be inside... or bundled up to comfort from the cold.
Note: I filmed this in 4k and the upload is in 1080-- so hopefully you notice the improved quality! If you watch this on the day of post (today = Sunday) then you might need to manually change the quality up to 1080p (use the gear switch on the lower right hand of video).

Hello Patron Yogis :) Are you a "visual thinker" and if so, are you familiar with mind maps?
Invented by the late Tony Buzan to help people structure their thoughts, reach their learning goals, and unleash their creativity, a mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information. It is hierarchical and shows relationships among pieces of the whole.
I am making Yoga Class Mind Maps for my videos to give you another vantage point of:

Is everyone having a good holiday season? I hope you are staying warm and cozy on these dark and cold days!
This video is an "oldie but goodie" that I just edited and spruced up. The practice takes a refreshing shift from Creative Twists and Deep Breathing into High Crescent Lunge into High Twist, with a focus on hip/foot technique to provide a stable and energizing experience in the position.
There is also a nice progression into relaxation at the end!
