Sunday Single - 'Ring My Bell'

Hello there,

When I was working on the Bunny-Girl comic I really liked the silhouette look of the all-in-one superhero outfit and realised I hadn't tried wearing an all black 50s style outfit - so I recently shot a couple of comics with this new darker look.

Ultimately, I don't think it really suits me - I look like a wannabe Sandy from Grease. It also makes me look a bit too scrawny - I certainly don't look like I could ring my own doorbell.

A Bit Of Dotty

A big thank you to my friend 'Flora Spilo' for helping out with yesterday's 'April Fools' post - I think she did a fabulous job playing Totty 2.0 with very little time to prepare for the role :)

Hello there!

I hope you're having a good Good Friday :)

If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that I'm a big Batman fangirl. I'm particularly fond of Batman '66 and I wanted to try and create something with a similar colourful campy flavour.

Bunny-Girl is a mixture of Adam West's Batman and Julie Newmar's Catwoman, with a little Bugs Bunny sass on the side. She also wears Michael Keaton's dark eye makeup, which adds a slightly creepy vibe :)

I'd like to try a bit of an experiment this week... I'm currently working on a comic that I was planning to post on Thursday to mark the first day of spring. As is often the case with a nine panel strip, the first few panels are completed days in advance, but I don't post anything until the entire comic is finished. This can be quite frustrating, as I'd prefer to post daily so that you lovely Patrons receive more regular content without long gaps inbetween.

Sunday Single - 'Tasteless Tie'

Hello there,

To really sell this joke, I wanted to look even more dolled up than usual, so I caked on the makeup - in real life, it looked ridiculously clownish. Now I think I actually prefer this look! 🤡

One thing I've learned from making Totty comics is just how much the camera lies - it tends to downplay and diminish everything. I discovered early on that you have to use larger-than-life props, exaggerated poses and excessive makeup, otherwise everything can look very dull a...

'Fitness Injury' - UPDATED

More trouble at the gym... This was a challenging comic to shoot. I'm always trying to find ways to capture more movement in my poses, so I used Burst mode on my iphone to take multiple shots while I was moving - with not entirely successful results. Most of the photos turned out blurry and unuseable and I had to reshoot a couple of photos the next day, so you may spot some slightly inconsistent hair styling in this one.

Also, some of these poses and faces aren't particularly flattering...

Incredible Cosplay!!

Well, not really - this costume is pretty awful and full of wrinkles, so a lot of airbrushing was required to smooth things out a bit :)

It's Mother's Day in the UK, so I wanted to pay tribute to my second favourite mum. I tried to recreate the figurine I have on my bookcase, but it was a tough pose to shoot -  so if I look a little distracted, it's because I'm trying to concentrate on not falling over. Which I did... several times🤕

'Tiny Totty'

I love little dinky, shrinky things - movies and TV shows with tiny people running around in an oversized world. The Incredible Shrinking Man is a firm favourite and I had to sneak a reference to it in this comic :)

I'm also a big fan of Land Of The Giants - particulary the 60s fashion, so this is my Deanna Lund tribute outfit 👢👢

I've been experimenting with an iPad app called Endless Paper - you can use it make those fancy infinite zoom illustrations - and I thought it would be interesting to try and present a typical Totty comic in a slightly different way.

Sunday Single - 'Totty Unleashed'

Here's a short silly Sunday single for you. I wasn't sure what to call this one... In the UK, we hold up our stockings with suspenders but I believe in the US, suspenders are used to hold up your trousers... er, I mean pants. Also, we have dog leads instead of leashes. It's all very confusing... but anyway, I hope you enjoy the comic :)
