So! Things are a bit slow with new SpicyQuest scenes, since Blushy's family haven't had time to watch her kids while she works.
We've decided that since she's usually having to work on her own Patreon, we'll just post her ($10 Tier) work-in-progresses here if we're delayed on work.
In the meantime, we've gotten a lot more of the script rewritten for EP 1 so we're more confident in a more enjoyable story.
Minor Update!
We've both been pretty busy with stuff for BlushyPixy's patreon so not as much free time to work on the game, but here's an exclusive look at what we're doing over there lol
Our intern is also currently learning how to do Galleries and Splash Screen stuff for Renpy as well, so it's not all delayed. Mainly just learning.
Rework Reason Explained + Q&A
So as stated on BlushyPixy's twitter, we were explaining about why we decided to rework the game.
We had to let go of our programmer earlier this year and terminate our contract, which meant we had to get rid of ALL of the code he had written so there was no conflict.

We're thinking about ways to make Kaye stand out more, because after Rogue's minor update and Cere's full rework, we feel like Kaye's outfit looks rather... plain in comparison.

I've been working on the Playtest build with our new intern, Kimblee, and for the moment, we're currently just missing scenes since Blushy has been busy with her own work for her patreon.
We've cleared out the schedule and as soon as she's done with her current workload, she'll be able to work on those scenes, so our playtesters can see what we have, then we can prep for a finished version!

So far we're going through a full rework of the story as well, so we're going to release the new first 15 mins of gameplay with A LOT more choices and interactions.
Anyway, here's an idea of where we're going with Cere, not finalized yet, but workin' on it
Mage (Cere) Rework
Here's what's been taking us a while. Since we've been adding Janice to the game, we realized there's a lot more that needed to be changed to add more content in the future, so we reworked Mage into a stronger written character that isn't just a blank slate.
Every main character will be playable, so it felt weird to have him be the one without too much story.
With that said, Mage is now Cere (pronounced See-er) a Spell Sword who did a very particular job for the King, looking to...

Some Changes...
Since we're going full tilt into this being a Sitcom, we're going to start calling the chapters episodes.
We also want each episode (after the first) to have a lot of replayability and mainly be self-contained short stories that have continuity, but you could hop in at any episodes and still get a full story.
For episode 1, we're most likely going to change a lot of scenes, so playing it again will definitely be different next build.
