Trying something a bit new on here and posting some of my diary comics. Hope you all are doing well and are excited for the cozy weather coming up...that is if you live in a seasonal area haha. I haven't seen fall in 4 years since I studied in the south so I'm so excited to celebrate autumn after so long.

The Kay-Nines

You guys have NO idea how hard its been to keep these guys under wraps for like since EVER!!!! it was always the goal to introduce the Kay-Nines after Maggies summer arc, and to really get into some new characters. I won't say tooooo much about them, because they're not in the comic yet, but they're a local indie band and Jillian/Richie's "cool" friends that will appear a lot in future comics. Agnes and the Great Unknown

I don't know if anyone remembers the short comic I made back in April, but it really inspired me to keep working with the characters. I have a feeling once the weather gets chilly again I'll really be in the mood to work on the story more. There's something comforting about writing spooky stories during the spookiest month. Here are some sketches of 'em.

Step By Step Comic

When making a comic, especially while it college, it was really important to me to keep things super simple so I could manage making a few every week and also being a student. My sketches are pretty rough, and although this issue was a bit more complicated because it had a background in one of the panels, you can see I kept it pretty simple (The background artist in me wanted to go a little crazy but I was like "no Annabelle, you have stupid figure drawing homework to do."

Early Jillian & Andie Concepts, 2022

So for these guys I knew I wanted a pink poodle and a small toy breed as a supporting cast, and I went back and fourth a lot on them.
