With the right model and a little touch of creativity, a small impromptu home studio space can bring out something that shines. In this case, literally. Against a background of silver metallic cardboard, this Brazilian beauty, with his smooth skin and beautiful dark eyes, looked warm and sensual.

I'd love to photograph Fagner again. He is so beautiful in a very classic kinda way. I'm not sure we have any summer left here in Australia but I just know he'd look good naked on a beach.

Weather dependent

Watching videos like the one above makes me long for photographic adventures out in the wilds of nature. Just as photographing men in water and on the beach is a favourite of mine, the idea of photographing someone in the rain or in this case the snow is very appealing.

Looking after first timers...

Many times over the 18 years that I've been doing photo shoots of male nudes, it has been the model's first time in front of the camera. Inspirational quality

The Dane - Booklet

This is another shoot from the archives. In 2015 while on a European adventure, I caught up with Instagram friend Mikael in Denmark. As well as showing me around Copenhagen we went on a bit of an adventure out of the city to this beautiful park to do a photo shoot.

There were a few times Mikael had to scramble to cover up when someone on a walk came past but the Danes being as relaxed with nudity as they are, no one really cared.

Back in the studio!

This weekend I will be venturing back into the studio for the first time since June last year. I had a half day in the studio booked about a week or so later but a few days later, we went back into lockdown for what turned out to be a few months.

The studio that I have booked is one I've not used before and like most, it has to be booked for a half day (4 hour) minimum. To make that worthwhile I plan a few shoots in that time which works well for me as I tend to work quickly.

The first attempt

It has become very apparent that underwater photography comes with its own set of unique challenges. I have a lot of learning and research to do and many many practice shoots ahead of me and that is really no surprise.

My friend and test subject Nathan, along with two other friends and I all took off down into the Royal National Park to a few little secret spots Nathan knows. We weren't likely to offend anyone with his nudity or by doing photos there.

Caged Masculine

It has taken me a few months, but I have just released "Caged Masculine" on my website to buy as limited edition prints. Each size is limited to 5 hand signed and numbered prints ranging from a small (30cm x 15cm) print right up to Extra Large (150cm x 75cm) which is approximately 59" x 29.5" for my North American followers.

I very rarely sell any prints but I like having them available as an option for people who do like some male nude art on their walls.

Bringing back old ideas

Sometimes an idea just needs society to catch up. I've said before that when I first started for a long time it was nearly impossible to find guys willing to pose full frontal, now things have changed so much. Everyone is swapping nudes on Grindr and half of your friends are likely to have it wouldn't be strange to find a friend showing their wares on Onlyfans. That means it is now much easier to find guys willing to pose full frontal, and even erotically.
