Recent gift art - WiP shots

It's rare that I get to draw my sona, but this time I got a chance to draw them twice!

I really tried to play around with unrealistic lighting these two illustrations and I'm very happy with the results! I feel like if I keep studying this type of weird colors, my art will be a bit more unique and fun. Just have to practice more!!

Commission WiP shots - 06/26/22

I took some unusual decisions with the coloring on these pieces, and I'm happy with how they turned out!

Both in the portrait for the refhseet, and in the illustration, I tried to shade and light the figure and the background in two different way: one with warm colors, and the other with cooler tones. I also attempted to make the figures a lot lighter than they would be in the lighting conditions of the scene.

My first AC fanart! I really wanted to showcase Sasha's dorky and unpredictable personality here, which you don't usually see much in fanart. I also made him a bit chubby, because, you know... he IS a lazy villager, and always talks about how many snacks he's eating!

It allowed me to re-do some parts I wasn't happy about and learn some stuff about lighting and color composition in the meantime. Amadeus and Obsidian - two AI generated characters

I... I decided to color them... and now I feel kinda attached to them... what have I done... 

For those who haven't seen the post yesterday, these were the result of a small challenge where I took AI generated images from very weird prompts and made characters out of them. The prompts this time were "Femboy Mozart" and "Sexy anthropomorphic volcano"

In the past few days I've warmed up before drawing by drawing character designs based on my most cursed Dall-e prompts. It's SO much fun, SO much weird, and really challenging to interpret and put together various elements from the 9 examples! Now I kinda want to color these sketches...

Night in The Woods animation project announcement!!

Hi everyone!! I really wanted to make something special for the Month of Mae, but it didn't end up being ready in time. So I'm gonna announce it now and work on it in June together with the finale for the comic!

It's gonna be a lewd short, about a minute long, about a weird dream encounter! 

If you check the attachment, you can already download one of the completed scenes from it. It still doesn't have sound, but it should give you a bit of an idea of what's to come! :)

I think this batch is interesting since it can really show how much a small change like a camera framing or the addition of dramatic lighting can change when it comes to the first impressions of an illustration. That's why it's always a good idea to experiment on the sketching phase!
