I envy artists who make nice clean sketch from first line. Mine drawing feels more like sculpting sometimes. I'm moving lines left and right until proportions and design feels good. I have idea first, and only then I start to fix anatomy and perspective. There's no drawing than cannot be rescued 😊

Yes, I redrawn Balthazar head like dozens of times 😝 at first I had the feeling that he just hovers over her neck and the bitting is not clear enough, later I struggled to stylized it properly and make it resemble the image of Balthazar that I have in my head. At some point I wanted to just throw it into the trash and admit to the failure.

My initial sketch is incredibly bad. Only second attempt, when I actually start thinking about anatomy and perspective it starts to resemble something. And I plan secret lines around, composition and flow makes the picture coherent.
