Alex even did some preliminary production on it. Also gonna post my original demo I made for it. right after this, so you can hear what it sounded like when I recorded it.

Sneak Peek: Chariot

Working on a song on a certain theme (secret!) and as part of it we are reacreating some parts of songs. Here's my recreation of the chorus of Gavin Degraw's "Chariot". It's crazy how something like this can be recreated so closely just in the computer now, you don't really have to record anything if you know what you're doing, while back when it came out they needed to work in studios and spend a lot of time on having session musicians etc. It's sad in a way, but it's also cool to see how fa...

Production update/comparison: "So Selfish"

Decided I really like the topline "so selfish" I posted here a while back, so I started producing it more properly. Have a listen to the old version vs the new one (second half of this audio file. Quite a difference huh :P

Gonna be re-recording vocals and changing some melodies and stuff, adding more stuff etc. Excited about this one!

Im getting back into producing the music myself, so these are really helping me experiment with sounds and how to make things sound good. Messed around with an 80s sounding waltz with loads of guitars today, in my quest for finding new sounds and improving my production workflow. Again, thought I'd post it here! Hope you like.

For the nerds: Been trying out using delays to widen things like hihats (with a spread of like 5-6 milliseconds). Working with more gated 80s reverbs, and parallell-saturating drums to make them sound more broken and alive. The bass is from a Juno 60 emulation, really love the sound of the Juno synt...
