As a juxstaposition of how we're always following our dreams, but it would be easier if they follow us. Also it kinda works in the context of a motorway, that the dreams could follow your car but instead they're just ripping by in a sports car you'll never catch up to if that makes sense. Deep lmao

Hey gang, due to your positive response to some previous demos (and insightful feedback!) I've decided to most more "rougher" stuff on here. This one I wrote a while back. I think this one has a more cohesive feel/lyric combo than my usual "sad lyrics upbeat vibe" approach. A bit copy-pastey as song demos often are, but I think you'll get the gist!

Vocal Recording Mega Screenshot

Just posted the final vocal session for Bit By Bit in another post - just thought I'd post this mega-screenshot too, for scale of the amount of vocals in this thing. The "Hook Gang" track consists of ~16 vocal takes by itself that were bounced together. So about 61 vocal tracks total for this bad boy. So Selfish had a bit over 100 tracks, but there were some more challenging parts to this, especially arrangement wise.

Bit By Bit update

I recognize not all of you might hear a massive difference from previous versions here but I added a bunch of really cool details to the chorus of Bit By Bit and I'm really excited lol

Since it's about losing your mind I'm having a little bit more fun than usually with pitching voices around and stuff. The chords that come in halfway are actually my voice too, but pitched around and distorted. So fun! Love when I'm 100% that I would LOVE this if I heard it from another artist.

The project

Hey Gang,

Just finished up a day of writing and recording. My ambition with this period is to make an album, but I think it’s likely it will end up being an EP as I’m kinda slow and particular about details sometimes, wanna practice the vocals until they’re perfect to me and so on.

The song I worked on today was ”bit by bit”, that I’ve posted clips of here before. I also have many other songs from my Nashville trip and previous sessions.

Holiday time!

I just arrived in Sweden! The airline lost my bag so I have no clothes or toiletries hahaha but I'm still in good holiday spirits. Met my dad yesterday, meeting more of my family today. It's crazy when you live abroad, everyone grow and change so much while you're gone. My parents & my brother all switched jobs since last time I was here. My sisters' kids have grown a lot.
