halo 5 sniper wip

hello everyone!!!! I have an update on the halo 5 sniper rifle!!! the basic modelling is done and oh man is this thing massive! far bigger than a thought it was going to be standing just over 1.4meters long this is by far the largest gun prop I have ever worked on :D also whoever designed this thing was freaking genies! taking such a simple shape and adding a bit of panel work they made a complex model that looks epic!!

hello everyone!! the next patron project is the SRS99 sniper rifle from halo 5! this model is a beast! and I have to say it is one hell of a model to build. I have looked into making this model for over a year but held off on making it due to its massive size, I mean the in-game scale is 161cm long!!! that's comically large and with that size, I was worried about the model's integrity especially the barrel but I think I'm finally ready to tackle this project!!!!

AT LONG LAST! the Mando helm is complete! and it truly has been a journey! taking 3 test prints to get all the bugs out of the model to printers printing support that was too strong(thanks to the heat we are having in the UK :D) but it is complete!!! wooohooo!!! and it was worth it! as I have learned an absolute tun from this model, I cant wait to take that knowledge into the next helm! :D

The Halo M7S SMG is complete!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE!!! THE COMPLETE! after a pretty fast test print the model has turned out amazing!!! I was a little bit wary of this model as in the planning phase the mainframe was not that much bigger than the magnums, so I decided to make sure the model was a lot more solid than some of my other projects, this meant that there isn't as much internal detail on this model than others but it was worth it! as I was able to add in a bunch of features that would not have been possible otherwise! &...

Thermal Detonator is complete!

HELLO EVERYONE!!! the Therma Detonator is complete!!!!! and oh man this model was fun to make! as well as I learned a ton from it! especially working in round space it was awesome figuring out how to fit the internals into that space! next was how awesomely powerful magnets can be the entire lower half of the model is held on by 2 2mm x 10mm magnets and it's solid this model is not coming apart unless you pull it apart! as for the features of the model, it has a few epic ones!!!

HELLO EVERYONE!!! the thermal detonator modelling is complete!!! and for my first ball-shaped prop! Im really happy with how it turned out :D thanks to its design I was able to hide all the nasty support side of the model that you normally get when printing round shapes, that all hidden on the inside of the model, speaking of which! this model features!

Mando helm modeling Complete!

hello everyone!! I have an update on the helm for you guys! the modelling is done!!! and it has turned out better than I could have imagined! I was able to fit all the internal details into a very small space while still having enough detail to make it looks cool :D this model is also the first to have all the internal parts for a purpose!

the internals are,
gas filtering system with oxygen reserve tanks for when you need to fight in a non-oxygen environment.

Halo M6C SOCOM is complete!!!

thermal clips done :D

hello everyone!!!! I have finally finished the thermal clips for the M96 and M8! there pretty simple the frames slot into the places the mags would originally go. to hold the thermal clip in place there are 3 holes for magnets 1 in the bottom of the clip and 2 on the side of the clip.

the bottom magnet is used to hold the thermal clip in the M8 frame where the side magnets are used to hold the clip in the M96 frame :D

Needler Mach Scrapped! Time for Round 2!

hello everyone, after 10 versions, 300+ hours of designing, test printing and failing, I’m sad to say that I have to scrap the needler’s mechanism :( So what went wrong? mainly there was a lot more give in the mechanism than there was originally in the set print and the 3d model, this give meant parts would twist wiggle out of alignment meaning the mechanism would not work reliably, and the work I did to get it to work was not something I could explain to you guys. so sadly I'm gonna have...
