If you look at the final result of page 79, you'll notice the third panel was flipped horizontally. This decision was made because the panel composition "flowed" better that way. 

Instead of the bottle/blood's direction going from right to left, it went top left to bottom right, making it easier for the reader's eyes to follow to the next panel, which is on the bottom right.

References for comics

References are extremely important for artists, especially in comics. Comics can have all sorts of crazy angles, situations, anatomy, close ups, and HANDS OH GOD.

I'm usually all right with hands (back in the days, I drew about 50 hands per week, that probably helped), but hands subtly holding something in particular? I decided to go with a reference for a panel in page 78 of Headless Bliss, and I'm glad I did! Especially when you can do the ref yourself and there's someone to take ...

Les3 - colors

After I do the chapter's lineart, my companion takes care of the color process. After some discussion we've decided to go back to traditional coloring (but with digital drawing). It's a nice and challenging progress!

In other news, I'm going on a ten days vacation in Berlin with my companion, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to update the Patreon while I'm there. I'll probably do plenty of sketches on the trip though, so worst case scenario, you'll see them when I get back!

So I was having a short vacation in France a few days ago, and there were a few kids around to have fun, along with my beautiful companion. We made up a game of asking the "adults" to give us two different animals and it was up to us to mix them into one animal.

Les3 color tests

For the next chapter... I do the lineart (+script) and my companion does the colors. It's tough, working with someone else on a comic! But it's very interesting on many levels. We're still trying to find a style that satisfies the both of us, we're getting there!

Lillian's birth

I found this in the old drawing pile. This is where Lillian comes from! 

'twas years ago, when I wanted to do a fanzine with art friends of mine, and we all had one of the 7 sins to make a comic of. I chose Sloth!

When creating Lillian for GGaR, I inspired myself from this Sloth character I had made beforehand (btw we never did that fanzine in the end).

unfinished OCTs

OCTs, or Original Character Tournaments, were a beautiful concept on deviantArt I loved doing back in the days (when I didn't have three comics+buttload of other things to do). These two pages are an example of some of the OCTs I started doing before dropping it because life demanded so. 

I hope I can enter more OCTs one day :)
