Chapter 3.05
I've been trying to get more backgrounds in my comic. It's easy to fall back on old habits, like avoiding backgrounds, but if I'm going to improve I need to keep pushing to do things like backgrounds.

Inktober has started, so that means that I'm going to attempt to do an ink drawing every day and probably fail. But at least if I fail, I attempted something.
Here's day 1. I decided to go easy on myself and do a little wizard hat.

Trees
Hey everyone! I've been trying to get back into the swing of things since finishing up my anthology, and one of the things I decided to do was take some 'me' time to work on something completely unrelated.
So, I painted some trees!
I have a lot of art supplies that I tend to ignore, so in the spirit of trying not to waste things anymore, I used up some paper that I just had lying around, got some gouache and watercolor paints, and tried out some ink. These are the results!

I've been playing with this design for a little bit! It's not anywhere near done but I've been thinking about how this could be either an enamel pin or a sticker.
A lot of my free time is spent working on a variety of comic projects, but sometimes I get a little time to do something more fun like this!

I’ve been playing around with an enamel pin design based off of Toivo. This isn’t the final design, but until I make concrete plans to make this, I probably won’t be finishing the colors. I’m hoping to make this sometime this year, though!!
If there’s any other ideas for pin designs, feel free to let me know. I’m thinking about doing a dragon one next.

In 2015, I slipped on some ice and broke my drawing arm (only 3 years after breaking my non-dominant arm). Determined to keep drawing, I started drawing with my left hand, and later compiled all the early drawings into this zine.
