It’s been a while but I had the biggest desire to break out my watercolours again. I really cannot remember the last time I touched them. I looked back on my instagram feed and June was the last time I used watercolour pencils but that’s not quite the same.

It felt so good to be putting paint on paper again. I think I’d grown so numb and restless with how I was getting nowhere that I couldn’t realise how much I missed it. I feel like me again.

I definitely don't feel comfortable investing in something like a wacom product when I'm still predominantly traditional so it's always a blessing when I can buy it used and from someone I trust.

My friend Kiki wanted to have a discord sketch date where we shared screens while drawing and chatting! It was really nice to be able to just talk and draw with them for a while. They used to live here in Vegas. :'D We had a group of pals where we'd physically get together at one of our friend's apartments to draw and order food together - sometimes prepare for conventions together. I ordered LOCKING backs for these! It's my first time using this kind of backer, and it's a little more ~luxury~ but if everyone ends up liking them better, it will definitely be my default backing. So many people have expressed their concerns about the rubber backs so I wanted to try a more secure option.

Some of my new merch arrived today, ahhh!
I made some zipper pouches with my mermay merm and one of my most recent La Muerte pieces.
They measure about 8" x 4" :'D
Perfect for art supplies, makeup, or whatever the heck you want to put in there. Candy? The ghosts of disappoinment? I only made about twenty five of each design. They'll be with my at Memphis but y'all get first dibs when I finally open up online. :3
