This Week's Plans. The Final Video of the Year. (Setlist Plans and Such)

So...keeping up with the tradition of the past two years, I'm going to try and make a medley of remixed versions of my best originals from 2019, as well as an overall theme to go with it. At the moment, these are the songs I have so far. This is not the order btw. That is still being decided. Either way, it's gonna be a busy week, but I am so excited to work on this! Hey, friends! I'm planning on releasing a new original this week if I can. I've been working on one of my favorite song ideas for awhile now and I might be able to finish. It's something I wanna take my time with though, so if I can't get it done within this week, I'll release another original.

The idea will either be:

Plans for this week! (and next kinda)

This week will be a cover and the one after will be an original. For a cover, I was thinking of "Marnie's Theme" from Pokemon Sword and Shield. Either that, or something from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Not sure yet!

As for the original, i have a few ideas, but I'd love to use my "jazzy video game beatdown theme" from my game idea. Very uh...."JoJo Beatdown" feeling. Jazz and rock with trashy beats! Either that, or something synthy, but I was some more guitar stuff this month if possible...

Metal Riff Demo (More demos to come)

This is a doozy to play. Also the verse I have planned for it ended up being 3 bars of 7/4 and then 1 bar of 8/4 before repeating. We'll see if I still use it :')

This isn't the main demo I wanted to send. The other one is for one of my "swing/jazz metal" ideas, but it's almost a full song, so I might wait until I finish it up. Or maybe I'll send it early. We shall see!

A very different type of video. I wanted to start a series where I go through a music program, trying to make music with the features it has. I don't know if I'll continue it just yet (or make it a small side thing). Either way, this was a super fun (and slightly nerve-wracking) video to make! And I hope you guys enjoyed this one. December, here we come!

Another song that has become a favorite! This month was a pretty interesting one. I've had this concept for awhile and I'm super happy that it came out the way I wanted. The cover that no one was expecting. Out of all the songs I heard from that game, this one stuck with me the most and I still have no idea why. I think it's just the "fun" energy that radiates off of it. Either way, I had a BALL making this cover. I hope you all enjoyed!

I honestly expecting this experience to be a dumpster fire, but it's insane that such a limited program lead to me writing one of my favorite songs this year (Breaking the Cycle). I'm so happy you guys enjoyed this and the original that resulted from it.

I don't know about "guitar funn", but I would love if "Ibanez Test" was finalized and changed up. Definitely seems like a song that NEEDS a vocalist though. Removing the lead in the chorus and letting the background strings/piano breathe made me realize a vocalist would fit perfectly in there.

The "musical journey" one where I act as a tour guide and take you all through a music program, trying out the features and trying to make a song in them (on top of that, I'll be sending a song demo or two this week, since this video is experimental. I want you guys to get some original music content!)

Some updates for this week!

Still trying to work on a new original! Will I finish it in time for this week? Who knows. But I'm gunnin' for it! If not, you can expect...SOMETHING. I got tons of ideas to work with. But at the moment, I'm still going for a food-related dungeon theme. Or a super jazzy/electronic theme unlike the other "jazzy" stuff I've uploaded.

End of Month Rant (October 2019)

Another month down! I must say, this one was a little busier than others. I was working on one of my favorite originals as well as making commissions for others. Balancing both youtube and commissions can be rough, but it seems like it's the only way to transition from internet stuff to legitimate composer stuff without damaging what I currently have. BUT it's always good to have the "work now, party later" mentality, and I want to make sure I can be the best and most professional I possibly ...

(4/4) Attempting to Make a Spooky Theme in 10 Minutes

This is one of those challenges where I enjoyed the song enough to make a full original afterwards. This spooky waltz style is something I would like to delve into a lot more (well...I suppose I want to do that with more genres in general). Getting the chance to do stuff like this and experiment with new genres is all thanks to you guys. I promise I'll keep learning and get better! We shall diversify, but keep it catchy, as is the dream of a video game composer :)

One of my favorite songs of the year. I've been wanting to put this out since FOREVER, but I just didn't have any ideas or skill to complete it. I started practicing guitar recently and I began to regain a bunch of lost skills (and some new ones). As a result, I was finally able to finish the song, and I am more than happy with how it came out. I hope you guys enjoyed it as well!
