Bouncing from one set of superhero OCs to another, I felt a strong urge to suddenly redesign a set of OCs I've been carrying with me since I was a kid. I was on a strong redesigning streak for a set of Dabloons OCs at the beginning of November, and the energy just carried forward into these kids lol.

I can't promise anything will come of these kids anytime soon, but I'm personally very satisfied with the new direction their designs have compared to their last iterations (haha this piece was back in march what)

December Sketch Commissions Sale!

But either way, sketch commissions are going to be marked down for the month of December, from $45 to $30. The NSFW add-on will still be $10. There's a chance I might leave the base price at $30 after December is over too, I've been getting self conscious about the price again lol. Apologies to the couple people who commissioned during November and haven't gotten their sketches yet, you're still my main priority before I even touch anything from whatever comes to the December queue.

In any case, here's your reminder that sketch commissions are open all of the time on ko-fi anyway! You can put one in, and bar any immediate personal problems I'm having I can usually pump it out quick.

im not gonna lie, i kinda just drew my ocs for the entirety of november

Well there were a couple other things I managed to squeeze out of myself this month, but it was a pretty bad mental time this month. It capped off with getting into a car accident yesterday, so that was fun! But other than that, I think I've healed enough to hopefully get back into the swing of things, especially with commissions for this month.

In any case, since it was mostly OCs this month I think I'll queue the art up based on each of the OCs' settings. I got some pretty good setup going for a lot of em! I've done some writing as well that I can hopefully put to comic work in the Near Future(tm).

October OC Art

Buncha silly things from this month. I got hit with a bug out of nowhere to genderbend some OCs, I felt like drawing a funny little comic for my friend @MistralArt, realized I've never tried giving Crash Buster the original Kamen Rider palettes, and celebrated my joint birthday with my friend and tabletop DM @TRoboknight. 

October Commissions

When it comes to sketch content, I don't particularly like posting just a single image and leaving it on that. For some reason it doesn't feel like enough content. I was hit up by a personal connection recently for some paid work though, being requested I do a hoodie design for a band they're friends with. So hey, substantial content lol.

There was an NSFW commission done this month as well, but since it was just the one I'll be relegating it to the Dropbox link.

GG Miku

My friend Candy was very proud of the Miku design they did, so I showed my appreciation for it in the best way I got.

The first pic's style is actually something I've been considering doing more of when it comes to fully rendered NSFW pieces. My current artstyle is the latter two Miku pics, and while I don't think it's bad, the process of actually making the first pic was a lot better for me in terms of wanting to actually finish a piece lol. Some characters or styles might call for me to bounce back and forth between the two artstyles, but I'm pretty at ease about integrating softer rendering back into my workflow.

Revita

Big ol' piece done in response to Revita's 2.0 update getting canned by its publisher.

Didn't exactly take off on socials, but I like to believe it did a little bit in pushing for the 2.0 update to get released in some way. 🥲

October 2023 Content

I wonder why I've never bothered with making these link posts... Anyway, since October wrapped and I forgot to do concurrent Patreon posts, those'll be queuing out again to fill time. August OC Art

Some extra OC art done during August. There's a couple silly animations that I just wanted to make into emotes in my server, another test of that anime filter used in the Hiroshi Fujioka post, and some birthday art for my gf, @retrocandyart!

Characters and Designing

Some various leftover friend art I had on my to-do list for a bit + some character designing that's been on my mind.

For the new character designs, I was thinking that I wanted contrasting normal characters to the superpowered protagonists. I've been thinking for a while that a grounding force is necessary in some settings, and I feel it's an element I've been missing for a few of my characters for a while. Especially as I inch closer and closer towards solidifying their concepts enough to start writing down lengthier stories.

Designing Aoi came at the expense of redesigning Shizzy though lol. Shizzy's bright red sailor uniform just didn't work on a character that wasn't her, but I'm happy I realized I could maintain her sailor suit through her casual fashion.

Dabloons Form

Rider undies came out at the time I drew these and I thought it'd be funny to do some sona art with it.

Ace Attorney: Love is War

I was talking with my gf about certain Ace Attorney character dynamics, and we thought that, for all of Franziska von Karma's seriousness, it'd be really funny if she had certain immature conceptions. That managed to motivate me all the way into drafting a whole ass comic parody of a scene from Kaguya-sama: Love is War.

It's probably going to go through a couple of revisions since this is just a draft purely to get the joke out, but Some Day(tm) I want to get back to this.

Nova & Star

Comics were on the brain in August, and some brainstorming I was doing at the time resulted in me banging all of this out.

For those out of the know, the main character of Crash Buster- Star- inherits it from the previous one- Nova- after a battle gone wrong. The idea initially started out as Star's pure belief in a disgraced superhero motivating him to pass the torch while he was on his death bed, but I've been wanting to flesh that dynamic out some more for quite some time. Thus leading into all of this and a general reworking of a few character ideas for Crash Buster in general.

Open Your Heart

As it turns out, the creator of the I Am (All of Me) cover really liked the art I did! So I was approached to make a version of it with Sonic for their next video. I'll be linking it when it releases!

I don't really draw Sonic characters all that often, but I think this turned out pretty alright despite that.

Hiroshi Fujioka

So I was told August 15th was "Grandpa Ichigo's birthday" and my immediate thought there was "oh, so it must be Hiroshi Fujioka's birthday, right?"

And so without checking any facts whatsoever I spent a day busting out a piece featuring Fujioka in his roles as Kamen Rider and Segata Sanshiro. Hahaaaah. Well I get to repost it when it's the man's actual birthday at least. For this piece I also mostly wanted to test out an anime filter that modifies your lines and colors. It's neat, but doesn't really work with how I like to draw.

Lois Lane

I was having a very fun time watching My Adventures with Superman, and then Lois Lane showed me her bare back and I felt my knees give out.
