Basic Bases and Free Models Folder

A quick post, I've uploaded some basic bases.

These bases are in the following sizes 25mm, 28mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 100mm, 130mm and 160mm all with a height of 3.5mm.

They can be used in conjunction with any .STL as a scale reference as they're dimentionally correct. For example, import the 50mm base into your Slicer, import the model with or without a base and scale it to fit the 50mm. This way you'll have something that fits your table etc...

Ogre Berserker Fresh off the Mars

Took around 8 hours to print on the Elegoo Mars in Elegoo Grey, pre-primed and pre-clean-up.

Shown next to the Primed Ogre Mauler. The Berserker was printed in 2 segments, base and the main Ogre. He turned out great :D I think I need to get a better camera for these shots as opposed to using my phone. 

Messing around with a new model currently, hopefully something to show soon :)

The Ogre Berserker is now done and the models are uploaded and available for Patrons :)

This guy was really fun to do and am looking forward to the print that's currently building on the Mars :D

Work on the next mini has started, something smaller then a big ol' Ogre :)

An update on the next model an Ogre Berserker. With luck this guy should be up before the end of the week :D

I've been watching a lot of spider related stuff recently so I'm thinking of doing a quick Spider mini or 2, I'm also sketching some ideas for something a bit larger...

Pumpkin Mimic printed :D

I love how this fella came out, printed on the Elegoo Mars in Elegoo Grey. Supports have been removed but I need to do some slight cleanup before priming.

Halloween Pumpkin Mimic fresh print

Came off the printer this morning, looking forward to cleaning this guy up later after work :D

Looks to have printed perfectly, so much so I think I might post my printer and support profiles for my Elegoo Mars soon as my printing has become pretty consistent.

Pumkin Mimic for Halloween

A beautiful specimen of a large orange pumpkin, perfect for carving into a creepy halloween decoration... Go ahead, pick it up... 

Just in time for Halloween I decided to make a good old Mimic however with a big orange twist, a Pumpkin Mimic... a Mimkin???

Ogre Mauler Keyed figurine now uploaded

I've just uploaded the keyed version of the Ogre Figurine, now that I've printed and assembled it. It fits together pretty great, there was some sanding on the key for the right arm but that kinda comes with the territory.

Being limited by the Elegoo Mars' width I could only get a print the size of a coke can, but it looks and feels great. I've also primed the Ogre mini which has brought out some of the details, check the images for comparisons. It's pictured with the special rocky base...

Ogre Mauler Keyed

Keyed the Ogre Mauler, next evening I'll spend some time sizing this guy up and creating the supports for him and with any luck start printing the torso or legs. I'm wanting to print those 2 pieces first just to make sure they match good enough before printing the rest.

Once this guy is printing I think I want to use the Mauler as a base for an undead variant which could be cool, that being said I think I have a cool idea for a Beserker variant with an armblade... We'll see...

Ogre Mauler uploaded

The Ogre Mauler print came out great despite me scared some of the details would have been missed by my supports.

I printed it on my Elegoo Mars @ 0.5 layer height and the finish is cool and thats with my FEP being slightly cloudy, I'd image the result would be really nice on a larger DLP or SLA machine.

I printed him @ 8cm tall, I like larger miniatures (if that makes sense) as I prefer them as desktop ornaments. He's printed as a whole model here including the special rocky base...

Ogre Mauler incoming

Ogre Mauler sculpt is done, a miniature is currently printing on my Elegoo Mars, hopefully have one printed within the next day. Images show him on a special base. Once I'm happy with the print it will go up as a reward :)

I'll also be doing a keyed version of this guy and then a variant with an additional base, either an Ogre Beserker and/or Undead.

Ogre Miniature Posed

Posed the first Ogre, need to do a lil bit of detailing/tweaking but should hopefully have this printing on an Elegoo Mars in the next 24 hours at which point I'll be working on a special base and cut up/keying for him, after which I'll be aiming to do an undead version I think :D

Update on the Ogre, most of the basics are in, need to refine some bits then pose/detail. Like in the last update I'm still thinking of some variants and also some different poses. 

Also need to think of some subtle but suitable base ideas ontop of the standard round disc.

With a bit of luck I might have this guy printed by the weekend.

Ogre Miniature Work in Progress

So I've started doing an Ogre. I'm thinking of starting with the traditional Ogre complete with club and the cliche pose, then I think I want to do an Undead Ogre maybe followed by either an armoured or magus based variant, what do people think?

'FU Pikachu' model available

A bit of fun, inspired by the JonnyUtah and OneyPlays sketch, essentially a not so impressed looking pikachu. Now available in the basic model dropbox.

Special spell casting base added

Made a special spell casting base for Garr :D

This base can also be used as a universal base for other minis/figures. It has a cavity that either a current based model can stand in (if the base is printed large enough) or if the character/model has a flat surface and the foot print size can go inside the base.

I'm tempted to get some red transparent resin and printing it off with the regular model inside :D

Guardian Garr miniature now available

Garr the Guardian from Capcoms PSone RPG Breath of Fire 3. His miniature model is now available using the relevant dropbox links.

He is a Guardian, a race created by the goddess Myria. It is recorded at Angel Tower that Garr killed 299 Brood during the war, the most of any of the Guardians enshrined there.

I'm designing a special base for Illustrious backers along with a keyed figure to follow in the future, once I've deciphered how to cut this guy up as he's pretty c...

Garr miniature printing :3

Finalised the 'miniature' of Garr on a regular base and loaded it up on an Elegoo Mars for printing, hopefully tomorrow there won't be a mess in my printer but instead a solid mini... I say mini but I decided to exploit the largest size the Mars would print it with supports :D

If this goes well, I'll start looking into a more detailed base and separating it for a larger figurine print (which will take several days to print once done no doubt).

Also thinking about what to do next, ...

Garr miniature Work in Progress

Quick update shot of the Garr miniature from Breath of Fire 3, should hopefully be done in the coming days then I'll upload once I've successfully printed this guy :) 

I've aimed to ensure everything is of a printable thickness although I'll test that when I come to printing it myself, supporting the wings, weapon, kilt and horn are going to prove challenging, looking forward to it though :D

Need to start thinking about my next sculpt also. Anyone got any thoughts?

It's a character called Garr from the 90's PSone Capcom RPG called Breath of Fire 3. I thought he would make a great miniature because he looks cool and wouldn't go amiss in some tabletop games.

Venom mini and figurine with keyed parts coming soon

Having recently finished my beefcake Venom sculpt I decided to give them a print on my Elegoo Mars whilst trying to take advantage of the print bed size by splitting him up into keyed parts.

I'm making some tweaks to the miniature before releasing it to Eager Scout ($5) patrons this weekend. 

Next to the miniature is the large keyed figurine. The large model came out great, it totals 9 keyed parts (with the special base) and will be available to Hardened Warrior ($10) patrons...

Playful Pug - Pug in the Bath model

A small mini (or not so mini), made a couple of these as family gifts as we love Pugs.  They're just for fun and act as little experiments and test for my printers. If I want to try out some new settings or some new filament/resin then I typically use one of my Pug mini's to do the job. They're also a great thing to test painting on :D
