I recently replayed this game and I still think it's my overall favorite game ever.

It's like... the sense of dread that I felt when I played Majora's Mask as a kid with an even thicker atmosphere intermingled with this really interesting and slightly terrifying anxiety reminiscent of the first time I watched The Shining; I don't know how else to put it. Also it's a FROM SOFTWARE game in the same vein as Dark Souls but with more emphasis on offense-based gameplay.

Anyway, long overdue with this one! This track is pretty strange as many early Pokemon tracks tend to be - the harmonies often make little sense until they come together in the final product of the song. It's almost clustery nonsense at points.

This week's cover is honestly something I've been kinda sorta been meaning to do since forever - even before my channel. I kinda wanted to spin the first half of the track as something you might hear from King Crimson or some other 80s jazz fusion thing. This cover was one I thought wouldn't be a problem tackling - NOPE. Those tapped leads are REALLY FRICKEN HARD to play on guitar (their harmonies are too!) but even though it was a big ol' pain to record, the end product is one that I'm immensely happy with - it sounds really cool!

Nope, not done with the lazer waifus yet. I got a few more in me before I call it good on touhou, so don't worry about any shortages.

Yep, back to the touhou stuff because it's really fun and the fanbase is super nice.

this track in particular REAAAAAALLY reminds me of old protest the hero stuff for some reason. The progression is something I'd expect to hear off an album like scurrilous or maybe volition. Either way, it was lots of fun for me cuz I got to noodle and doodle all over. Lemme know your thoughts as well!
