Animation layers explained and example

One of you asked me about animation layers so i recorded a short video on how and what i use them for. and another one as an exmaple using the lara animation so you cna get an idea on how they can be used and how to maximice the potential of the animation layers addon whith little effort and time :)

Incoming animations

In the previous post i mentioned i have 3 animations ready, that i only have to animate. so i'll be rendering this 3 this month and probabbly i'll be able to post this 3 animations and finally make some progress on the student tier tutorials. I'll slowly work on the rigging one and will also record the animation one in shorts. I decided that it's definitely easier for me and more convient for you to have short "episodes" instead of having an 11 hour video like the rigging tutorial is xD

Animation tutorial in a nutshell

Really really short clip i recorded for Ryanreos about how I animate in blender.
It's 5 minutes long and not super detailed (so far) but i wanted to test my new mic and wanted to record soemthing since the student tier is quite forgotten, so i'm gonna focus on this this month since all i gotta do left towards the animations is render. which BTW i have a widowmaker, a D.va and a Lara animation ready and i just gotta render them. Made the previews folder so i have a folder for the future where i can post the first frames of the animations.
I usually render one single frame before rendering the whole animations, so why not posting it as a preview the same way i do with non VR content :)

I wanted to add something more to the animation, like make it longer, add something else to spice ti up and make it longer. but atfer some days of thinking i can't come up with something that I like so i guess that i'll render it like this for now and if i come up with something else, i'll add it and re-render it.

FUTURE and what to expect

 regarding my previous "Important notice" post. By no means i have plans of decreasing my content ammount if i cna prevent that happening. i like doing this stuff. but it's becoming more than clear that i've reached my limit and i can't clone myself xD and i don't wanna hire someone to do that thing i love so much doing. So, what should i do? easy. I'll automatize as much as i can, I'm gonna try to find a way to test a mocap suit and maybe buy one. and probabbly get an Iphone Ipad, those...

Next animation

Ok, so after almost a whole month thinking. I decided i'm gonna animate this. i don't want it to be the typical simple loop or a super long animation. but something with a couple more interesting variations. maybe i'll place a bottle of lube so Lara can pick some of it from time to time. Thought about placing one of those machines we all love behind lara crontolled by something like a car throttle so they guy cna control it and (maybe we could see ith through a mirror in VR or something? IDK ...

Ok, first of all, i know I'm quite absent lately. Some of you might know that I recenntly joined the operation lovecraft dev team to work as an animator for the game (I'm still on the trial period but i think i'm doing good, slow, but good. Maya is a cruiel mistress xD) so i'm not being able to work giving my 100% ony any of both sides. So I placed like a deposit in Motoko's torso. which can be filled and can produce bulges when it fills to the max.

Cycles X is nuts. 28 seconds to render this frame. with volumetrics, 6 lights, subdivisions, particle hair and all that. next frames would take less since it's the first frame the one that bakes lights and all that stuff and all that data gets cached for next frames. so first frame is usually slower. Hitting render button right now. Should have the final mp4 file in arroudnd 7 hours. and since i have the audio from the VR one, i think i cna use that same audio tracks to make the audio for thi...

Neytiri animation non VR

A huge thank you to Gorzhebygl from discord for letting me know (once again) that my neytiri animation was not rendered in VR. I know some of you have been asking for it several days now, and i was super conviced that i had it rendered in non VR version since i did upload this thing up there once. but first, it doesn't have the good audio. and second it's just a boring frontal camera. Updates

Well, i got some good bad news in general.

Bad news first: My best PC (the one wiht the 3090) started having issues at the end of last month (screen turning black and fans going nuts among other things) ran a 3Dmark benchmark and scored 8000 points (2000 less than my 2080 super. just so you cna imagine how bad it was, an average 3090 should at least score 18.000 points) so i called the store and sent it back for warranty. that's why i'm not posting much, I'm working on my old PC and du...
