ComicWIP | Over the Peaks and Chasms bonus credit page

Here's a WIP, very much a WIP, of the last page of Over the Peaks and Chasms, which shows our characters involved in some goofy, clunky intimacy (the Dwarf is a bit of an abs guy...). I spent quite some time on the couple's proportions and still, I will probably re-draw the scene from a slightly different angle.

I have also worked some more on several panels of the comic proper, I'll post an update once I work on it some more this week!

October 2017 Report

The external world finally eased up on me, with the construction work done at the new studio. However, I learned that there's a limit to how much I can push my body and mind making up for the lost time. Recently, it just gave out with fatigue. I've switched tactics and am working consistently every day, but now I give myself more time to sleep, eat and exercise. In result, I had to forgo the warmup sk...

Sneak Peek | Futa Barbarians Athya & Mey Mey

Commission. By the forces combined, it's a venn diagram of some my recent themes! There's a little bit more to the background in this scene, you'll see in the finished picture.

It's going to be an useful reference, as it'll feature about the maximum amount of blood and gore that I'm comfortable with drawing (not of the main characters, these ladies are the ones administering the violence).

Warmup Sketches | October-4

Unfortunately, I had a new, obscenely fast work computer only until the graphics card malfunctioned. Seems the repair shop will be done way later this week, and I lost the sketches for the previous week. Not good, with all the catching up I had to do!

I could have gotten upset, but I realize that it's an opportunity - my tiredness and these problems create a strong emotional response, and so the brain remembers these situations better. So, no better time to learn about hips than now!

Here's a collage of a sketches for a cancelled commission featuring a princess getting some rough orc and admiration. I really wanna go back to these scenes on my own, but I let it sit for too long - it'd get redone from the ground up!

I always considered that you made it in the industry when you have a cancelled project to show, and look at this!

Warmup Sketches | October-2

Delays, delays. Here's a compilation of quick sketch notes I'm doing in-between trips to furniture and hardware stores and client work (lots and lots of lineart, I have to pause and sketch not to get rusty and forget to think in 3d forms).

Hope to be able to do some more substantial studies next weekend! And have hot water running...

September 2017 Report

Every month, I ask all of you reading this message to take a brief moment and send some positive thoughts towards your fellow patrons, as will I once I hit schedule. It's corny, it's silly, but it works.

September was... well, lesson learned: sometimes, even an egregious leeway for unforeseen delays isn't enough. I've been sitting among packed furniture and stuff far longer than I anticipated. Perhaps that's why I'm especially thankful for the support, it elates me to only rely on mys...

Warmup Sketches | October-1

The schedule was so tight recently, that I needed to really drop the studies and extend last week's mode of operation: just rendering a picture without committing to it (it probably won't ever be finished). It's refreshing, and the head-on pose is comfortable for me enough to really just decompress with a soft brush and sculpt the two ladies out.

Still, I tried to make them varied so I don't lock into a default silhouette/skin texture etc. I'm fairly satisfied with the result, but it'll still ...

Animation WIP | Tentacle Promo Loop

Usually, I'd hesitate to share an animation on such an early stage, but this one is special: I intended to use it as a promo for my tumblr, then patreon, then... I keep getting discouraged and dropping it, only to come back and redo it almost from the ground-up.

No more! I'm sharing this with you to have a public contract. You will see the finished animation soon. Better to wrap things up and move on than to doodle endlessly.

Sneak Peek | Spook 2017 1 of 3

Continuing what started a year a go, this Halloween will also see three special pictures, this time in a form of a short comic. I'll keep the technique fast so as not to distract myself too much from other projects that must see the light of day this year ;)

Study is nice and good, but this week I've just doodled some goblin/gnome/shortstack women. It's nice to just draw sometimes, without committing to a picture.

Comic WIP | Over the Peaks and Chasms Pencils-1

I'm happy to say the progress on OtPaC is going alright. Pencils are now well underway, with most shots planned. I haven't managed to tackle some of the remaining important 'money shots', but there's been some rearrangement to the page flow. Now it's time to return to commissions for a bit, but I'm hopeful for October in terms of schedule.

The pages are crowded, but I just can't get enough of these characters! Vanilla is tasty with a bit of orc and dwarf!

October will greet you with two short and goofy comics I have been commissioned to make: here's a preview of the first one. It was very interesting to make as I tried to limit the rendering to the most important areas. Can you guess what are those areas?

If you follow me on twitter, you might've caught a glimpse of these butts I've been drawing to unwind. The idea was to vary their thickness, springiness and other attributes - a sexy ass doesn't equal another!

Now I'm tackling one of the most horrifying subject matters - pleated skirts. Luckily there's some very good Japanese artists sharing their simplification process, so I start at this. I already dig how much the third one shows action lines and force - I will for sure return to this subject matter in the future, if just to reinforce my feel for action.

August 2017 Report

First off, let's all send positive vibes to all patrons, I'm serious about it: just a minute of good thoughts means the world.

The month has been hella busy and uncertain, but I managed to do solid work despite traveling back and forth and tending to various matters having to do with my move. There's still more to do outside of work till late September, but I'm hopeful to leave it all behind soon enough and be able to focus 100% on them lewd drawings.

I'm especially thankful for the time...

Some more splurts, some more dicks. I'm taking from some mangas I really enjoyed, but trying to break the shapes down more and draw 'through' forms (like that third from the left one, you can see I was searching how the 'cap' part of the glans wraps around). And some more splurts, now with more interaction with hard surfaces.

One of the benefits of drawing muscular ladies is that the knowledge gained from drawing muscular hunks translates well! A less defined female torso still has that underlying structure, only the layer of fat covers it, and it's often lost in the overall degree of simplification.

In short, anatomy studies: to them for the orc ladies!
