The latest on Boris Johnsons latest mad dash to Kiev, the developments of the frontlines and the evolution of Ukraine towards greater usage of terrorism.  Stay tuned for more of these in the future including a special edition of this covering the Russian economy and why it has not collapsed in the way that the US (apparently) believed that it would.   See the attached map for the latest picture on the frontlines, this map was produced 2022-08-25 20:13:43 +0000 UTC View Post

Going forward I'll be doing polls for the books to be review in the reading group, in addition if there are suggestions from subscribers I'll throw those into the mix as well.

RSB #9 The Recession Spiral and the Pre 2008 World

In this episode of the bulleting I look at how the pre-2008 economy came to be, why it crashed and why politicians in the west have spent the last 14 years trying (and failing) to rebuild it.  This episode also covers some interesting angles on Ukraine and why the conflict there is linked to the declining state of British, French and German capitalism.

RSB #8 Sri Lanka & The Comprador Bourgeoisie

Recently a mass uprising of the Sri Lankan working class and middle class saw the government of (now resigned) President Gotabaya Rajapaksa resign and the President himself flee the country.  What is actually going in Sri Lanka though? Is it a colour revolution? The effects of the Chinese debt trap? Machinations of the Indian bourgeoisie? In this bulletin I take a look at the weakness of Sri Lankan capitalism and why the causes of this collapse are more long term than most interpretation...

RSB #7 The Constancy of Class Struggle

As strikes continue on the British Railway system, spread to the postal service and the docks of Felixstowe many are seizing upon this as a sign of revived class struggle.  But where is the political outlet for all of this? In this episode I look at some of these strikes and how the labour party left is looking to divert them into the dead end of voting for Keir Starmer.  The "Enough is Enough" campaign I talk about on the episode has listed its demands 2022-08-22 21:18:49 +0000 UTC View Post

A Marxist History Of World War 2 - Episode 1 - The Sons of Churchill

In the first episode of the new series 'A Marxist History of World War 2' we look at some of the myths that were created by World War 2 and it's aftermath.  The memoirs and historical work of Winston Churchill is central to the understanding of the conflict propagated across the advanced capitalist nations, in this episode I examine why this.

RSB #6 Ukraine Update

As the war in Ukraine continues and the Americans start to turn on Zelensky I look at the latest from the frontlines and ask where the Russian end point for the war may be.  The two attachments are a map of the lastest action on the frontline and an estimation of the Ukrainian losses of equipment since the start of the Russian military campaign in February.  Be sure to check out the two channels these are soured from 'Chronicles of the Conflict' and 'Southfront' both of which you ca...

RSB #5 IRA or IRS?

With Joe Biden signing an act proclaiming it to be reduced is inflation in the US coming to a halt? Is this the triumph for Joe Biden that the Democratic Party press is claiming? How can you stop inflation AND defeat tax evasion?  Will the new army of IRS agents secure victory for democracy in Ukraine/Taiwan?  In this bulletin I endeavour to answer some of these questions.

Reading List For WW2 Series

Next week will see the first episode of the new series 'A Marxist History of World War 2'.  There have been some requests for a reading list for the series so I have listed below the sources I've used for the series so far.  I will update this further as we go along as I am likely to add to it.  Many of these books are out of print but most can be found on either the internet archive or searching on libgen.rs

RSB #4 Pelosis Taipei Booze Cruise

Last week the world was gripped by the travel schedule of an alcoholic octogenarian and in this Red Star Bulletin I ask the simple question, why?

What is the meaning of Pelosis visit and how does this fit into the growing reality of Chinese-American great power competition.

The recent white paper from the Chinese government on reunification can be found on the link below.

Red Star Bulletin #3 - The Mar-a-Lago Connection

In a plot worthy of a discarded Michael Mann script the FBI raided Donald Trumps Florida residence this week.  In this bulletin I examine why this happened and does it tell us about the declining legitimacy of the US bourgeois democracy.

Thanks Youtube

The algorithm on youtube has deleted the two videos I posted up from my RT appearances so you can now find these over on Odysee.  Apparently someone was rather upset (positively traumatised) by me talking about Taiwan and the fine people at youtube want it to be a "safe space" so hence the removal.  Thankfully all the youtbe content gets backed up automatically over onto my Odysee page where you can find most of the old youtube videos I've done as well.

Interview With Chris Williamson

This week's interview will be with former British parliamentarian Chris Williamson. He has published a boom recently chronicling his experiences in the Labour Party in the Corbyn era. Williamson was one of Corbyns most consistent supporters only to suffer a betrayal by Corbyn and the rest of the left after being branded an "Anti semite".

I'll be talking to Chris about all this, the failure of the Corbyn project, the phoney anti semitism charges and his views on parliamentary socialism...

Previews of Coming Attractions

Over two years I began doing a semi-regular show on my youtube channel entitled "A Marxist History of WW2".  My aim in doing so was to present a view of the war in which the major myths that most of us in the west grew up on were taken apart and the reality of that war as an imperialist conflict was more thoroughly explored and explained.

I'll be putting out a version of this for patrons over the course of the August and September at a rate of one show per week.  Wh...
