This shoot was a dream come true. I had a vision, and Regina helped make it happen! Collaborating with photographers can sometimes be a challenge due to artistic differences, but with the prompts 'Sexy Housewife' 'Spoof Boudoir' and 'Lazy Morning Coffee' Regina got me exactly what I had envisioned. Like, I don't think I can express how much of an achievement this is from an artistic expression standpoint!

Oh man. I was soooooo nervous for this shoot. I have this notoriously bad luck with shoots that I get kicked out of EVERYWHERE. You know the whole 'ask forgiveness, not permission' thing photographers sometimes have? Yeah, doesn't work for me. I've gotten kicked out of places I had permits for and places my photographers have shot in a million times before. Even at conventions, I'm usually told to move because I draw a crowd. WELP.

OH MY GOSH I'M FINALLY IN LOS ANGELES and my brain is less mush! The trip two exta days than we expected, due to getting stuck in an ice storm in Kansas, but we're hear, and alive, and now I have internet,so I can post again! I had a lot of fun last Friday with Regina of MaelDesign shooting my Viking Elsa!
It's hard to get the snow to cooperate, so we toyed with a snow machine and smoke to get the effect we wanted to in her studio! I'm usually an 'on-location' only cosplayer, but in this case, I appreciated NOT freezing my butt off for that perfect shot :D With the lighting, too, the effect is beautiful!!

Although I had two photoshoots prepped for this weekend (one being Witch Mercy at a graveyard!!), it's reach below 0 degrees Fahrenheit here in Minnesota, so going outside almost at all has been....well, inadvisable. So they've been postponed but it gives me more time to make the surprise cosplay I'm going to make for the other shoot =3

This is such a common thing I hear. And although it does break my heart when I hear it (sewing is such an amazing artform--you make a pile fabric into something wearable!) it isn't necessary for good cosplay!
Most of my male cosplay friends don't sew. They build armor and fake the sewing whenever needed. Nick's (my boyfriend's) Skyrim costume is all fabric glued where the furs come together. And I'm personally a big fan of hot glue on most fabrics

Julie (Shadowstone Photography) is editing photos right now, and they look amazing!! We couldn't have asked for better circumstances today for a snow shoot!
I went from cute to badass in just a few hours :D even in Minnesota, perfectly snowy 'warmer' days like this don't come along often, so I did two photoshoots with Shadowstone Photography! The Christmas Postcards I'll be sending out will be of Cindy asap!
