Got to do this one for an amazingly patient commissioner, not sure what's up with me but it's taken me much longer than normal to finish thing. Still, I'm super happy with how this turned out though,  it reminded me of how much I love drawing and painting characters with tattoos! (So maybe expect some more Max & Rick with sick tats soon)

Despite not being home and being sick-ish, I’m happy I managed to do a little digital art this weekend!! I’m still kinda learning how to work with Procreate, but it’s already a lot easier to handle! (Honestly a lot of the things I manage to do with digital feel like an accident bcs most of the time I sorta stumble upon them)

This scene takes place in the Andes Mountains in Bolivia. I don't have much story to go with it, I was just inspired to paint some mountains after watching several docu's haha

This is what my art usually looks like when I don’t use refs btw! It’s a bit more stylized I’d say, where proportions matter less, and to me it just looks a bit more cartoony in general 😅 Still, I enjoy it very much because it allows me to sketch a lot more loosely!

So I said a couple times that I'd try and keep a lot of the art for my Archeo zine a surprise, or I guess exclusive to the zine itself, but I'm slowly starting to reconsider. Mostly because I do wanna show off the high-res scans!

Here is the third in the series so far. I finished a fourth one today that I might upload with the first two next week! 

Another thought I had is that I might turn my favourites of this series into postcard or A5 size prints!! (Maybe exclusive to Pat...

I wanted to repost this with a few digital touch ups!! I posted the other very late and the next morning I looked at it again and just felt kinda unsatisfied with this piece. I put some more shadows and lighting on there and I love it now! 👌🏻🌟

This really made me wanna do more dark atmospheric paintings! I found it a bit of a challenge though since I generally don't really use dark lines anymore. But I do think it comes together a lot more nicely without them!
