Remember me talking about Carl's Ford Sierra? Well here it is! Bear in mind the comic is set in about 1995 so it's only a 6 year old car and nowhere near as old as Romesh seems to be making out.

Project Length

I have been asked if there's a planned length to the Shelby project. The short answer is "yes".

The long answer is that I have a minimum estimated length for the story to follow of about 30 pages. Now, at the current rate of page release that's going to take quite some time to complete but as with any project of this nature as more people join and support it I can devote more time and resources to get more pages released so it may well not take that long at all eventually.

Romesh

Hey look, it's Romesh in his underwear! Romesh is as energetic and adorable/irritating as you'd expect a young dhole to be. He's a little overweight and very fluffy, likes his new things and his nice things and at the perfect age to just be full of energy all the time, ambitious in his job working alongside Carl and generally being a bit giddy.

Background Details

I'm currently scribbling away and doing some planning on future pages and decided to give you a little insight into the process. When you read the comic you probably won't notice a lot of the little background bits and pieces that are put in to flesh the characters and their world out. This might be a naughty comic but it doesn't mean I skimp on this side of things.

Patreon Payments Processing

Patreon has informed me the payments from my three first patrons - whee, thank you guys! - are being processed so I'm hopeful they go through without any bother at all though I am aware there have been some issues on other Patreon accounts with cards not processing smoothly on the first attempt.

Almost Time

First page release date is fast approaching, only another two days now.

On the first of November I will release the completed first page and a bonus portrait of PC Carl. I'll then spend November working on the next few pages to ensure that whatever the pledge amount I will meet the targets for the first of December update. So it will continue into the future.

One thing to be aware of is Shelby is set in a sort-of-British world, since I live in the UK it's a better reference point for me. So uniforms and the like will be more British in appearance than anything else. What little of the uniform Carl is still wearing here is based on a standard UK police officer's uniform.
