Future Ben 18 Vs CharmCaster: Magical Pacts

Future Ben runs into CharmCaster.

Status: 8/8 Completed

Well, I said goddamn, I always knew tackling Ben 10 would be a herculean task for me.. truthfully this started off as Five... then Six, and finally Eight pages.
The set up just didn't sit well with me so I needed to flesh it out to at least this length.

So! Gonna move on to Desiree for tonight but I owe you guys a May gameplan first, gonna think on that while I do some sketching right now, so expect that in a while. If any of you guys are still here, and those interest in design choices, I can drabble a bit so you know where my head was at:

Direction: Truthfully, I only ever saw the OG Ben 10 series many years back and only really casually. Maybe I saw a few episodes of AF but not much. I tell you this so when I inevitably get called out for not knowing that XYZ happens in episode XXX of series ???, you'll know its because I'm a FILTHY CASUAL. 😭
So went the whole future AU route. I watch ed a couple episodes of the later series to look for plot premises but honestly, I was surprised to learn that Charmcaster doesnt appear in the whole series a whole lot... so I took a few liberties here and there, mostly I ended up watching Omniverse's Kai episodes to see how future Ben handles flirting/mean girls. (My bread and butter).

So yeah thats basically it. Omniverse art style works best with my own, it has its own charm that I took a liking to, Im even open to exploring more from it some day. Sorry to UAF fans but THAT Charmcaster... just isn't Charmcaster to me.. she looks like a generic sorceress villain from Justice League Unlimited or something... so I went with Omniverse' design mixed with some of the original's. Ben was more straight forward, I dont like his haircut in AF... I wanted him in the original colors, at least at first, I can change his outfit later.

But I liked his hair from Omniverse. So in the end I went with an mix of Omniverse and Future Ben in my art style, aged as an 18 year old, I only had a bit of time to practice the design before I had to start working on 8 pages so I think I'll try to refine it more int he future.

Absolute Unit, WTF did they do to this lad in the later series?!

Oh, and I chose Kevin and Max as cameos bc theyre a bit interesting to draw without too much effort and I didn't want to deal with the pressure of having to commit to a Gwen design yet 😅

Future Ben 18 vs CharmCaster WIP

Hey you lot, get ready for some Charmcaster cuz shes on her way. Finally its coming along, in order to make the comic the way I saw it in my head I've basically had to somehow compact the intro. Personally its still a bit too fast for my taste, but we gotta make due.

Design wise, I'm going with an aged up mix of Classic and Omniverse. The OG, bc I like how recognizable it is, but not gonna lie, I never saw Omniverse except for a few episodes to prepare for this comic, but I like the art style, it has its own charms that i wanted to incorporate. (Not really a fan of AF visuals tbh)

Either way, its still kinda tough but Im coming along. Hope you guys like the set and I'll see you soon with the finished comic.

Well color me pleasantly surprised, I wasnt expecting Desiree to do so well in this line up, but here we are. I'll take any chance to draw more of the 8 foot tall harem genie 🤤Well, looks like Sam is gonna be angry again lol

As for the rest of the lot. Eclipsa is second place is kinda on brand at this point... like tantalus the fruit in the tree is always out of reach isnt it? Well get there... Saw a bit more for Marceline this time, thats good, I do miss her. Followed up with a healthy showing, Courtney and Loona so I suppose its only a matter of time before they see a more favorable match up.

The big surprise however, was Ms Bellum hmmmmmm her one shot was pretty well received by peeps but I guess I overestimated her power when compared against this more established line up. Shes not quiet a heavy hitter but maybe she'll be better placed in the less seen tiers. Well see. Okay thats our play by play analysis, I have my lineup for the rest of the month. Im gonna still keep drawing Charmcaster for a few more hours tonight, the style isnt as easy as the simpler ones I usually do but we're making progress. I'll drop a WIP of the first scenes as soon as I start lining. So enjoy your weeks, hope everyone's doing well. I return to the hyperbolic time chamber.

Hmm, Okay maybe this ended up being longer than I meant it to.. It's still shorter than the other idea I had.. Jenny getting asked to a spring formal or something but the problem with that setup was that it had like a 8 page intro in my head before we even got to the lewds... sooo lets put a pin in that. A more simple premise of Jenny inviting Tuck over works too.

This week: Just finished updating Dipper's latest adventure with Tambry. The full five pages are up for you perusing, and while you do that, I'll get back to Jenny x Tuck. I was going a bit back and forth between the two to clear my head but now I can fully devote to finishing up the second now that the first is done.

So up next, a new Jenny set. Truthfully I think I'm going to focus more on the art rather than trying to go overboard with the story, so Im hoping to get it out faster and we can move on with our schedule haha...

I tried making this too big and ended up biting more than I could chew. This is unfinished again, sadly. (Page 3 was a bi-) Theres still the rest of page 4 and page 5, not to mention a complete other coat of polish (shading) and details to finish off but Im posting this so far.

Torturing Dipcifica and Wendip fans equally, ha. Perfectly balanced, see I can be fair. 😅

Don't underestimate Dipper Pines. The set up it very similar to the Summerween post, partly because I liked it and wanted to give it another go to see if it could be improved, design and pose wise..but also its the most convenient way to show off the rest of the characters and explain whats going on.

Im going to keep working on this to finish it up. I may decide to post the line up and new polls schedule as Im working to get it out of the way and keep working on this uninterrupted, but after I finish Im going to have to go back in to make a Jenny Tucker comic. Hope you guys like it so far.

Tambry Dipper WIP

Started coloring and doing backgrounds today, heres the first flats as a WIP.
Trying desperately to finish by monday night, hopefully i'll have the 5 pages done by then.

Hope you guys like the WIP so far, I didnt bother placing the text neatly in bubbles bc they might change later. Its another phone set up because I really like this dynamic with Tambry and Dipper.

Phew, okay horse eaten. I think this is the longest Priyanka comic I've done to date, at least in one go. Hope you guys like it. Oh Steven, what are we gonna do. Ha. Okay so personally, I've been wanting to play around with the dynamic a bit and this is what I arrived at.

I think Im gonna start on Tambry right away, don't want to play it risky if I intent to give her a similar sized set.

I wont lie, I was kinda nervous to look directly at the poll results since Sunday.. Like a basilisk it can't be a tie if I just ignore it and keep drawing Priyanka... ha. But thats a relief, 5 percent is off enough that it feels like a clear winner in my book. 😅

Ann got a healthy second place, I think theres an argument to be made to bring her back next month, but then again, MILF month is right around the corner... Maybe I should hold up on that before putting her back on the poll?

Everyone else didn't score very high but I think that's expected when 65% of the vote was taken, not much to gleam from there.

Alrighty I'll see if I have any already made prompts for Tambry since the last time. Its a bit out of season for more Summerween stuff so I think we'll go with something else. Still drawing Priyanka's five pages, hopefully I dont get too tied up in the weeds giving each panel its due attention.

Weekend with Priyanka WIP

Alrighty, heres the WIP of the first page. Wow Im only just realizing thats a lot of panels and poses... but hey, its what I saw in my head when I started working on it. A bit trickier was the diaolgue, unfortunately I have to just accept at this point that Im sometimes also a fanfic writer :/

Hope you like it, its about 5 pages total but Im hoping to finish it about the middle of the week, with a bit of luck not long after this most recent poll is wrapped up. Back to drawing.

Currently working on the Priyanka comic, I havent forgotten about a WIP, I just prioritized finishing all the sketches before lining something the WIP for a change, to see how it affected my workflow. I'll having the first few panels for you in a bit when I start writing some of the dialogue.

But we're here to vote for what set I draw after Priyanka, so vote away:

Well clearly the Avengers did not assemble. Even still, that's basically a tie which I warned against. But hey, you stuck to your guns. That showed bravery, and Voldem- Err Moth knows how to value bravery.

So where does that leave us? Simply put, I said no ties because Im not able to do 3 Large (including the next poll winner) sets/comics in March. And it bothers me to start something in the last week only to finish it the next round, which is something that has happened too much with so many ties lately. Here then, is my olive branch.

This week: Priyanka's New Set. The crowd favorite and one of the best Milfs out there returns. She'll get another large set with Steven.

Next Week: Sunday's Poll Winner: Velma, Ann Possible, Lifeguard, Marie Kanker, Tambry or Jessica Rabbit

That'll make 2 large sets, I don't know at this point how large they'll be. But I don't want to commit to starting anything after those just yet with so many uncertainties. If there's a handful of time, I'll try to throw in a oneshot at the end of March.

First Week of April: Full XJ9 Jenny x Tucker Set. I don't like to ignore such a strong showing for a character, and given that she nearly matched with Priyanka, that's saying something. But I can't do it in March, so I hope Jenny fans will be glad that I've set some time aside for her story to continue.

As I said, I would be bringing back the runner ups to give them another shot next month. Since Jenny, is in a way a winner. I'll bring back Desiree, Loona and Eclipsa. Sorry Charlie, but someone has to be last, otherwise it would look like the exact same poll.

Kim Pine's Precious Little Secret. (A Scott with Benefits One Shot)

This was actually the planned third installment that I never got to do, I had the script doodles for this for a whiiiile now. Same with Dexter, I took the chance since she was rarely ever voted for.

And yes, they have socks on because its cold in Toronto.

Hope you like the Kim content, wish she was more popular here but I liked doing this oneshot for her.

WELL. This was SUPPOSED to be a set idea, but Ms Bellum never really got into the high poll numbers and I got impatient hiding the lead, so I turned the idea into a one shot.

I dont really do crossovers, but Powerpuff girls and Dexters Lab are basically int he same universe, so this is the idea I was keeping locked up in the sketch vault. Hope you like it.

College Drama Off Season: Girls Night out, Lindsay

Went with the girls night out route, that way I could opportunistical- artistically draw lewds of Izzy and Zoey. Bit of variety in situations and characters never hurt, and I figured it'd be fun to show the rest of the night after Gwen ran off to have her own fun.

College Drama Off Season WIP Intro Lindsay (sorta)

Hey you lot, this is as far as I got with the idea for Lindsay's Off season set. it's the last day so heres the wip for everyone while I finish working on it.

It's a direct sequel to: Gwen's Set.

So while Gwen's off having her own fun, Lindsay figures they could all go back to their hotel room and have some fun themselves. I added the other girls for the sake of spicing up the background. And because I dont see them winning a poll any time soon but the set is primarily Lindsay's.

I'll continue working on it over the weekend and slightly past it. I expect to be as long as gwen's own set, afterwards I'll do some one shots before the next poll.

Futurama: Mean Girl Leela

Mean Girl Leela AU bc I remembered the pilot wrong and by then I had already done a fair amount of drawings so... its the direction Im going with. But hey, she's still hot. 😅

Alright you lot, here's the finished Leela set. Hope you like it. I'm off to do as much as I can for Lindsay now, shame theres only 28 days in February.. slight hiccup there. I definitely wont finish it in time but I want to get at least something out on friday and finished set as soon as I can after.

Futurama, Mean Leela WIP

Guys I f**ked up lmao.

Full disclosure, I drew the storyboard and lined these first few models before I had the text written out. I went the "Mean Leela" route as a bit of a compromise between staying away from the vanilla stuff, still drawing Fry, but giving myself some wiggle room for the future(-ama).

Where I messed up: I mistakenly thought Leela was FIRED from her job because of Fry, its been years since I've seen Futurama. So imagine my reaction when I rewatched the first episode and forgot that Leela is actually way more wholesome than I remember and QUIT..

there goes my premise... prob says more about me but I had to rack my brain for new dialogue that would let me keep the drawings I had already done. So if it seems a bit out of character, that's why. This is more of a Mean girl Leela AU I guess 😅

Tomboy Bubblegum's Outfit (Finn x PB story)

Soo... after all these years, just as one of the guys huh? Suuure, anything you want to tell us Finn? No judgement.

Run Finn, she's a bad influence, but that makes her hotte- err older Finn continues to harbor some fantasies towards the busty eldritch candy monarch.

Alriiighty then. Heres the completed 6 page Finn/PB comic. I've had this idea for a bit, and I figure, if there was ever a time to introduce some butt stuff, Tomboy PB would be a fun bit. Hope you guys enjoy, gonna get back to working on Leela's set now, and it wont be long for the WIP to come out.

Well that one was certainly a nailbiter. In the end though, given our time restraints, there could be one winner and Total Drama's Lindsay takes the cake. Though, I'm Shego wont be far behind since shes one of our top contenders.

Hey guys Im here with the results and a new 6 page comic. I ended getting a slight fever on wednesday, which slowed my efforts a bit on things that required more subtle details. But not one to sit still, I ended up putting my efforts towards Leela's set instead. In the wait to drop the poll results once I had finished on PB's comic. That'll be its own post though, so lets talk about Lindsay's victory:

I went back to check the comments and I didn't see a whole lot of discussion pointing in either direction for the Off Season or an Island story... sooo.. ehh what the hell. Even though it'll be anon focuses Im going with the Off Season lindsay POV since we're sorta fresh off of Gwen's set and we can do an island story whenever but its best to keep the off season bits close to each other. So I'll get on that as soon as I finish up leelas set which is being worked on now.

As for the rest. Kim and Bulma ended up getting the boot this round. Guess its NOT Krillin time after all, and by implication, Scott. Oh Well, but Im not disheartened, Im determined to finish Krillin's mini arc so I can do other stories with Bulma at some point.

Cynthia and Nani held their own well. I wouldnt have minded if they won to see how their stories played out but theres always next time.

Lindsay. I'm still torn between doing her perspective of the Off season night. Im sure she'd have no problem scoring after a night of clubbing. OR I could just go ahead and skip to the start of the next season where she has a team up with Cody.

Cynthia: Ash is back, and keen to challenge Cynthia to another go. Wonder if she'll be able to hold her own against this New increasingly cocky Champion?

Nani. Flashing a flirty smile and sexy Hula Dance, Nani may be receptive to going back to a hotel room, she is always overworking herself, I'm sure she'd appreciate a night of fun away from her crazy household.
