If you are one of the few characters that is a human or other race without darkvision, you can use this spell to even the odds a bit.
This spell blinds creatures' darkvision, but they can still see with regular vision.

Oh, no! The floor is lava!
No, really. This spell conjures lava and spreads it around, and for a minute nobody will want to step on the floor (or ground) or else they'll get burned.
Updated 2022-03-29: Added a movement penalty, unless you're willing to take damage.

Inspired by Hank the Ranger in the D&D cartoon and drawing on the idea of both the healing and destroying power of sunlight, this ranger subclass gets a few new spell options and can call on radiant magic to battle foes and aid allies.
Just don't expect to be able to hide in the dark while using some of the abilities you get from this. :)
Also, it's a subclass for regular rangers, rather than for anyone's particular version of revised rangers.
For roleplaying, there's a ...

A predatory monstrosity that blends with its surroundings and can quickly adapt to its environment...and it hunts in telepathically-bonded packs.
Sure sounds fun to me as a DM. :)
I often name things based on words in other languages that have to do with what I'm naming. In this case, I used a combination of words that roughly mean "strength duplicate", due to its Pack Adaptation feature.
The visual appearance of these things is partially inspired by a creature in Chroni...

This elf-made canoe allows you to very stealthily watch things from the water, as long as you take your time.
Created because this game needs some more vehicles, and this is one of the things that came to mind while brainstorming some new magical vehicle ideas.

If one of these mice is inside your house, you may want to keep very calm and get an expert to very carefully and gently remove the mouse...if you don't want your place to burn down.
This might be the smallest, cutest monstrosity your PCs encounter, but the little fireproof mouse could be too hot to handle.
These were originally created for the Neverwinter Nights version of Aenea (my game world). In there, the little mice were almost too tiny to see, until they burst info...

This magical rapier was created for a character that joined a previous campaign partway through. It didn't see a lot of use other than as a light source (the PC was a bard and almost exclusively used spells from a distance).
Perhaps it can find some use in one of your campaigns?

While this was inspired by the name of a location in The Princess Bride, it's a totally different environment.
This swamp has a layer of vegetation floating on water. The vegetation provides a surface to walk on with danger lurking in the water beneath, and it provides large amounts of plant matter than can decay to produce invisible clouds of flammable gas (methane, but I don't specifically name it in the description).

Inspired by a set of prompts on r/Brewjammer (prescribe, vestige, and fairy tale), I came up with this plot hook. The prompts in that subreddit aren't intended to all be used in the same homebrew, but I like to try.
For this one, my brain immediately saw prescribe as pre-scribe, so something that was ...

When I decided to spend an entire month making D&D content that is somehow related to milk, I know I'd be bound to end up with more than a couple of things that are just weird. Functional as 5e content, but still kind of weird.
Wrapping up the month, I've got a brand new monk subclass that is inspired by the fact that whey protein is heavily used by those trying to build muscle. This subclass incorporates cheesemaking (the source of most whey), getting stronger, and pumping up other...

It took a lot of futzing with a few graphics and some troublesome css coding (I'm not a css person) and html for the last 24 hours, but I've managed to update every NPC and monster I've posted so far. Yes, I code everything I make with good old html, so I can get exactly the formatting I want, before I turn things into images and PDFs.
I had gotten really tired of the old stat blocks with the slightly pinkish, flat coloration. I've now changed that over to an old parchment texture, alon...
