This spell appeared in earlier editions of D&D. This is my remake/update of it for 5e, based on the version found on page 220 of the 2nd edition AD&D Player's Handbook.
Just for fun/tradition, I would give this spell to clerics.

This spell causes deadly vibrations within any target you can see.
I originally made this back in my 3rd edition D&D days, but have now updated it for 5e.
Think of it as a particularly messy version of disintegrate, but with bonus effects if your target fails its save but still survives.

Wealthy nobles have fought over this rare gemstone for years, and it may have led to the death of a king. Is it cursed?

There are many people who are afraid of the dark.
Sometimes, just sometimes, there might be something that enjoys that fear.
It's been a while since I've made a warlock subclass, so I pulled this from my ideas list and wrote it up.
The illustration is one I made for The Amethyst Dragon's Hoard of Everything.

Shine like the beacon of divine power that you are while wearing this magical medallion.
This paladin's item originated back in my AD&D 2nd edition days. Now it's been remade for 5e games.

For the past 4-5 years, I've been participating in a Secret Santa homebrew gfit exchange on the Discord of Many Things server. Each is inspired by a set of key words/phrases given by the giftee.
I volunteer as an elf, helping Santa with last-minute gifts that need to be created (because some naughty people never get around to making something for someone else) or gift-wrapped (taking plain text brews and gi...

When an old silversmith decided to moonlight as a distiller, he ended up with an unexpectedly popular product. He supposedly hid the recipe in the hammered dents of his still, but the still vanished soon after the old man passed away in his sleep.

The basic idea behind this weapon, and its name, came from my earliest days playing D&D. Now it's a 5e creation you can use in your games.
Enjoy.

This piece of wood, valued by those familiar with the man who carried it, was inspired, in a word-association way, by constant songs about ringing bells that have been playing recently.
It was supposed to be for Treasure Tuesday #79, but it's a few days late because I got distracted by holiday baking and other prep this week.

Made for a secret Santa thing, this spell was inspired by the words teleportation, twice, and laugh.
It's basically hideous laughter combined with picking up and dropping the target a couple of times (or more when cast at higher levels).

This magical bullet, bolt, or arrow is very powerful, but can be very dangerous. You probably want to make sure your target is quite far away from you or your allies.

This golden blowgun is both very valuable and very useless. It was made for someone who thought having things made of gold mean they were successful.
Things didn't work out well for Scara.
This was made for the 76th Treasure Tuesday, the day each week I make a free, unique, nonmagical treasure for DMs to include in their games for treasure hoards, black markets, nobles' collections, museums, or anywhere else.
It was inspired by an old 007 movie.

This magical weapon can make a couple of creatures feel like they're flying, but they'd just be falling at a safe speed.
On an open field, the magic of this large club could take two people away for almost 9 minutes (feather fall speed is 60 feet/round, 1 mile = 5280 feet, 5280/60 is 88 rounds (8 minutes, 48 seconds)).
