KINGS JOURNAL: Sunburn Snow-white

Last sunday I went on an excursion to the Moselle, a famous river and valley with beautiful vineyards and charming towns. But I wasn´t a "real" tourist - I went there for hiking and climbing a special path called "Erdener Treppchen" - literally "Erdener small stairs". I was part of a small group and everybody was pretty excited to climb the vineyard. It was, well it still is, super bold! Drawing someone who doesn´t have much references is quite hard. His original anime style does not include real facial features: his nose is just "hinted" by two strokes... XD

That´s how my early sketches look like. Some parts are drawn in detail already, others are just roughly sketched. I almost always draw the head at last, because it is the most challenging part and afterwards I feel a bit "exhausted", happy, proud or annoyed. ^^

Paradise preview

Here is a preview of the paradise drawing. Largo is is the only one missing for now and he will stand between Mordecai and Muarim. This preview is meant to give you a sneak peek into my mind. ^^

Muarim sketch

Muarim is pretty muscular, but also tall, so his build tends to be more athletic, than Skrimirs. I drew him without his bandana to stress the nature idea and he wears his hair open, too. He is not as old as Mordecai but has a few wrinkles, probably of his serious basic expression during daily life. - I have a stern face quite often, too - so I have good chances to get such wrinkles, too, soon. XD
