Pete's Vagina -14- Line of Scrimmage

Dave, Jake and I had our little huddle with Coach Wilson about how things were going to go Friday night. The rest of the team did drills under assistant coach Pasco's guidance. The senior cheerleader squad was also meeting at the far end of the field.

I saw Megan with them and resisted the urge to wave at her. Coach Wilson would disapprove of the distraction. She wasn't hard to pick out of the small crowd of girls with her dark skin and hair. Joanna, the head cheerleader and Jake's sque...

Annoyed, irritated, fed-up! Charlotte had been a girl for only a few weeks, but what with parents, doctors, boyfriends, her new boobies turning tender and ouchy...she knew it was time....in a word, it was 'Toodsday!

Staggerfly by Joyce Melton

Staggerfly

By Joyce Melton

I dreamed this whole thing a few months ago. It was a movie-like dream with shot angles and scene cuts. It didn’t seem like a full-length movie so maybe it was an episode of a TV show. Kind of like the old Alfred Hitchcock show. It was done in an odd style, much like the blaxploitation pics of the 1970s but with a film noir slant. And yet, it has cellphones in the story.

+ + + +

Staggerfly is an old black conman, played by someon...

Love for a Price

Working for my mom’s catering company back in the 90s didn’t usually cause any problems. I could help out wherever she needed me, as server, cook, or driver. Or all three if I were running one of the food trucks solo.

But this was a party at some rich guy’s place in the hills above the city. I had on our typical almost-uniform of black jeans, cross-trainers, white shirt, paper hat, and colorful smock-style apron with the Andover’s Catering logo. We’d been there since 10 a.m. p...

Pete's Vagina -13- Forty Yard Dash

Pete’s Vagina

Chapter 13 – Forty Yard Dash

Coach Wilson thought the reason I gave him for wanting to avoid undressing in the locker room was hilarious. “She what?” His grin could not have been wider. “She marked you, huh?” He laughed outright, causing his class of golfers to give us a closer look as we chatted on the sidelines of the fake fairway.

“Uh, yeah,” I agreed. It was true. Megan had left a line of love ...

The reason this was missing is hilariously illustrative of morning brain. Patreon changed the order of the types of posts, so I clicked on text post by rote and when it didn't ask for an image, I didn't supply it! Doh!

Thela of Palan -3- First Aid

The two strangers watched with interest as Jacob pulled out his first aid kit again and began tending his wounds. He’d tried speaking to them, first in English then in his bad Spanish and they had replied in some language he hadn’t recognized. It sounded vaguely like Italian with a Swedish lilt.

He shook his head. The dogs had torn the wound in his left calf open much more widely and blood flowed freely when he uncovered it. He sucked air between his teeth, cleaned the gash, packed ...

Thela of Palan -2- Painted Wolves

The boy who was nearly a man, Striker, kicked more sand over their little fire. They had let it burn too long, but Longeyes’ fever had worried them both. After a good early meal and more rest, though, the older man seemed recovered enough to continue their trek.

The boy pushed his long black hair out of his face and used a leather band to tie it back low against his neck. He took his spear from where he had leaned it against a tree, and checked his belt that his obsidian knife and jad...

Connor Pembroke crouched in the ditch, checking the load in his pistols. “Jason,” he called softly to the big redhead keeping watch by the haystack. “What was the name of that woman you were swiving in Portugal?”

“I wasn’t,” Jason Mallory said. “It was Spain, and her name was Madalena.” He had a charged gun in one hand and his sheathed saber in the other. The farmyard around them lay desolate; the doors of the buil...

Thela of Palan

Jacob Stone pushed his goggles up onto his helmet and wiped the sweat off his face. He loved biking, he really did, but he always hated it in the middle of one of these forty-mile mountain rides. He took his water bottle from the holder and used a gulp to rinse road dust out of his mouth before sipping more slowly to relieve his thirst.

Below him, the angle of the Antelope Valley showed the green of springtime, and the scent of sage and wildflowers reached him on a breeze. It was still ...

Special FX -21- Glue

Amanda told me, but I had a hard time believing it. “What do you mean theatrical glue won’t stick to my skin? Doesn’t it stick to everyone’s skin?”

She shook her head. “I’ve had this problem before, usually with kids who have really smooth skin. The glue just doesn’t stick.” She showed me how easy it was to peel off a second application of theatrical glue holding my costume in place. “I’ll have to use the glue we use for appliances.”

I knew what she meant, ...

Sixteen the Hard Way -5- Exam

The next day of school, Wednesday, was excruciating. I tried to talk to no one and not look anyone in the face. I did have to take my note from the doctor to the school office, and they changed my schedule so I would go to study hall instead of gym.

And I wore Mom's little elastic chest-band every day. Heck, I even tried to sleep in it, but it turned out to be a little too uncomfortable for that, riding up under my armpits in my sleep and stabbing me in the back with the stiffeners.

Pete's Vagina -12- Roughing the Passer

I made it to school on Monday, still using Jake’s truck, after picking him and Megan up. She sat between us on the wide bench seat, but snuggled up close to me. For some reason, this seemed to disturb Jake and he wouldn't look at us. There had been an uncomfortable silence in the cab from Megan’s place to the senior parking lot where I backed the monster pickup in between two pastel mom-mobiles.

As Megan climbed down with my help on the driver’s side, she whispered to me, “I thi...

Quillian -22- by Joyce Melton and Daniel Ford

This was our cliffhanger for the end of the first book, if Quillian had ever been published as a regular comic book. Which it wasn't. :) Nobody had to wait longer than a week for the next image, and I'll be back next week with the beginning of the finale of the story.

Lots to love here, like Inkypus's dialog. :) Remember that when I wrote this I was imagining Gilbert Gottfried as the voice. :)

There's also Q's damsel in distress pose which cracked me up when I first saw it. :) And...

Quillian -21- by Joyce Melton and Daniel Ford

The cops in the last two panels were intended to be recurring background characters. Ray and Hector would keep witnessing strange events and taking pictures, not that anything came of that directly. :)

Things look bad for our heroine at this point but really, we're only halfway through this episode.

Quillian -20- by Joyce Melton and Daniel Ford

A silent page to demonstrate some of Quillian's defenses. Inkypus's acid is fairly mild but lemon juice in the eyes is no joke. Note Tom Stabbo's strike to Ptarro's midriff, Quillian's ability to project quills from almost any part of her body, and Harrienda being used to help block the stench of monster breath. :)
