Double Date Dare -14- Epilogue - by Melanie E

Epilogue

“Mom!”

“What did I say?”

“UGH. Fine.” I took my cell phone’s mic off mute and started talking to Butch again. “Mom said not until I’m seventeen. Even if AUNT JULIA LETS SANDY go on singles dates, it’s doubles or nothing.”

“Or he comes to dinner here,” Mom yelled back at me from the living room.

“Or dinner here,” I amended. “Which isn’t happening until I get my folks to promise not to embarrass me.”...

Special FX -17- Van Nuys

I pulled the heavy drapes on my window and turned on a lamp, watching myself move in the mirror over my desk. The big-breasted woman I saw there was me, but I couldn’t be completely convinced by a mere reflection.

I took off the borrowed shawl the restaurant had loaned me and hung it over my only chair. These were the clothes Jack had bought for me in Target: the denim stretch pants, the soft gray top with the rhinestones around the neckline, and the sandals with the two-inch heels. I...

Hayfever?

I've been suffering from hayfever lately and other maladies, and my writing and posting have suffered greatly. I'd make a joke about the poor boy in the pic above suffering a different set of symptoms in his case of hayfever, but the country girl in me won't allow it. That's not hay, it's straw.

That's actually an image chosen to illustrate one of the tales in my new collection of stories I wrote and posted on BigCloset. "Said and Done" will be coming out in a month or ...

Hole in the Sky -6- Fire!

An older man, large through the chest and shoulders, came striding out from between the buildings and approached us, stopping a dozen feet or so behind Hadar. He wore a homespun tunic too, but his was decorated with colorful embroidery and he had a turban-like hat on his head. He also had a wide belt with a bronze knife hanging from it and a heavy club in his hand.

"Headman," guessed Doc and Hadar confirmed this.

We spent most of another hour in Izim, giving presents from our food...

I let the steamy water cascade over me…and groan. It’s the first day of school…my first as a “girl.” It’s also my first day at my new school. All of that’s bad enough…but not why I’m groaning. I’m absolutely craving a piece of gum. I almost put a piece in my mouth before getting in the shower…but I...

I could say without a doubt that my dress was beautiful. I had taken a great deal of care with the repairs, and in the gym, with the heat of bodies and thump of the bass, I was thankful for the bare shoulders and the way the split skirt, once a flaw and now a feature, allowed my body to breathe and stay cool.

Outdoors, in mid-March, in the breezeway behind the gymnasium? That was another situation entirely.

When Butch placed his suit jacket around my shoulders I barely m...

Despite my efforts to train him and all the progress we had made, getting Ted to dance at my house and getting him to dance in front of nearly the entire junior and senior classes and a fair few sophomores proved to be a different issue entirely.

We were two of the first couples to arrive at prom, as per Sandy’s plan. With the crowds light and the music starting low, I managed to get him out and loosened up early on. Still, as more people arrived and the volume and body heat...

Pete's Vagina -6- Go Deep

The parking lot was nearly full at the Pizza Barn, meaning most of our teammates were already inside. Coach Wilson would have the back room all set up for us with pizzas, chicken, pitchers of soda, and movies—the last item supplied by Leland Frick, our team cinematographer.

Lee would have footage for us to watch: some of of the game last night and some from colleges and pros that showed something that coach wanted us to learn. Frick was a tall, weedy, uncoordinated, glasses-wearing ge...

Don’t cry. Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry.

“Honey, you look so….”

I looked in the vanity mirror into Mom’s eyes as she stood behind me. She, too, was on the verge of tears. I desperately hoped she wouldn’t cry either, because that would be sure to set me off, and I had been practicing my makeup for the evening for three days, and it had still taken me over an hour to get just right, and there was no time to repair it if I ruined it.

“I love you...

Butterscotch -48- Straight? (Final)

Mom dropped one of the little boxes of tissues they have in hospitals in my lap. “Wipe your eyes, princess,” she said. “Does it hurt?”

“Yes,” I said.

“I meant your foot,” she clarified.

“That, too.” I wiped my eyes and blew my nose, delicately as I could manage. “Mom,” I said, “I think I’m straight, and I feel guilty about it.”

She laughed softly. She had a pair of those light, angular crutches with her that she hung from the bar that stuc...

Dr. Yin -1- Research

What's the best way to find out what women really want?

Dr. Yin

Chapter 1 - Research

I found the advertisement in the weekly throwaway paper. “Meeting girls too hard for you? We can help,” followed by a phone number.

I showed it to my buddy Gordon French and asked him, “What kind of scam do you think they’re running?”

He read the ad and shrugged. “Who knows? Dance lessons? Vitamins? Speed dating?” He didn’t seem that inte...

“Dancing?”

I nodded, doing my best not to smile at the terrified look on Ted’s face. “You did well Saturday night, once you loosened up a bit, and it’s a good way to be able to interact with girls.”

I looked up at him and waited for him to argue or object and felt both relieved and surprised when he did neither.

“Good,” I said, stepping toward my parents’ stereo and turning on the playlist I’d prepared. A mellow country song I liked came on, per...

Butterscotch 47 - Ankle

Marjorie got on my good side so I could hold my bad ankle up and sort of hop along while she kept me from falling. We headed toward the gap in the outer fence and then to the parking lot. I glanced back a couple times, but the guys were still fighting, with a crowd egging them on.

Damn! I was so annoyed with them both that I couldn’t speak but only made hissing and fizzing noises like an angry cappuccino machine. I punctuated those with little moans and yelps when my foot touched the ...

Which series should graduate to BCTS?

Butterscotch is ending soon and it has been the prime series here on Patreon since last October. By prime, I mean it gets more attention and is featured on BCTS as well as here, usually a week or four behind appearances here.

Which series should replace Butterscotch as the prime focus of my efforts here on Patreon and be featured also on BCTS?

Anyone can vote on this?

Butterscotch -46- Bleachers

I slipped down and through the open space in the structure of the bleachers into a dark space full of the sound of the concert and the crowd. Pieces of the structure slapped at my arms and legs as I fell, and something unseen bopped me on the forehead. But I had seen the shape of someone I thought I knew.

“Mando!” I cried out, falling. It all happened in an instant, in much less time than it takes to tell it.

He’d been closer to the front of the bleachers, standing with his ...

Pete's Vagina -5- Huddle

I didn't make it into the house because my littlest sister, Molly, waved at me from a window and pointed toward the backyard. I spotted Jake sitting on one of the wooden benches near the barbecue pit. He looked up when I came around his truck.

"You get banished to the backyard for uncivilized behavior, again," I joked. It kind of hurt to talk, but I pushed my way through, hoping Jake could not hear the strain in my voice.

He stood, smiling vaguely. "I just told them to send you ou...

The Farside of Never -Book 1- Daphne -3- Skaynos

I don't remember what happened next all that clearly. I guess I was in shock, and I didn't really feel present in my new body. For a while, things seem to happen to me as I just watched, not involved emotionally. I felt numb.

First, the men in the Cowboy-Greek costumes divided us into groups, and we were required to close a metal cuff attached to a chain around our left ankles. Each chain had a few girls attached; I'm not sure how many. I ended up in the middle of one chain, and Joan an...

The Hole in the Sky -5- Being the Hole

I drove for perhaps twenty or thirty minutes, never any faster than five or ten miles per hour in consideration of the terrible track between the trees. Twice we had to backtrack from apparent dead-ends, one of them at a small river. The next time we came to what was probably the same stream, it looked shallow and slow-moving enough that I simply drove the big car across it.

"Lincoln is made by Ford, after all," said Doc which caused a general, if nervous, chuckle.

When we topped ...

I tried to remove my blindfold by rubbing my face against Moose’s shoulder, but that only caused him to murmur, “Stop that.”

I did.

“Relax,” he commanded, sounding sleepy. “I’m just going to nap for a half-hour, or so, then we’ll get something to eat.” He shifted a bit, his thigh lying across my hips, his arm on my chest with his fingers behind my back.

He was naked, and I was very aware of this.

My arms were still secured in Bonnie’s tapes, each el...
