New Background!

So, I could not get too much work on animation done today, as I had planned, I had people about. I'm usually doing something on the weekends.

But, when there are people over, nothing stops me from making new locations and plants!

I always try and do something useful with my time.

I've have to do some double checking, but I should be able to start rendering once I get my background all together.

So I got a few things working...

Getting close to making the first loop, not too much longer before I have some animation ready to Render! (I'd better make sure my background is golden!)

But While adding a little cloth sim to parts of the gryphons feathers, I came to a realisation! I can use the shrink wrap modifier to make bulges!

This will be good for vore or inflation, among other things. 

So I guess what I'm now going to ask is, would you like the see the gryphon inflate a lit...

Been hard at work, and I'm liking whats come out.

I'm working on the 'start' and the gryphon is not enjoying himself.

I've spent most of the day making passes on the first few seconds of animation, as having a gryphon struggle in pain, due to a dragon in the butt, is kinda complex.

Not too much more to do, then I can start work on the first loop, that's when I'll have something more to show.

Quick Update, the feathers are fine.

Ignore the odd pose, and lighting issues, I just wanted to show you, the feathers on the gryphon are ok.

I had an empty that added turbulent wind, for some odd reason, it was also change the direction of all the hairs particles in the scene. Hence the messed up result.

I can see how you could use it effectively, and it would be fast too. But not with the settings I had. Woops.

Guess who gets to redo all of the gryphons feathers? (Its me!)

The all the hair info seams to have gotten corrupted, probably due to this guy going into a newer version of 2.8.

But this is ok, I can fix this easily enough, On the bright side, the gryphon will pay for it!

I would have probably discovered and fixed this over the weekend, but life kept me busy. But I'll get this done, and get to making this animation!

Im, Really proud of this one! (Wing Physics!)

So, the last real step before starting the animation, was getting the wings ready, no problem! 

Is what I thought.....

Holy hell, the wings where a waking nightmare. I know how to get them done now, but I crammed for two days trying to figure this out! 

Turns out I had a SINGLE vert that was doubled. So I fixed that, and then got to work. I still need to make a collision object to keep the wings from phasing though the body, but that part will be easy.

So I have done some work on my rig.

Its a little more advanced now, still more to do.

But right now, my mission is to wrap this up, and start work on the next animation!

A lot of the new stuff here is custom bone shapes, as well as a new rig for the spine, hands and jaws.

I just have to finish up the wings, and we will be good to go!

Rigs Built! (But do I apply it yet?)

I have done the rig for my dragon, now all I would have to do is parent the mesh to it, and start making tweaks and fixes.

Buuuuut, I also have a tutorial on how to rig properly, and I want to watch that, and follow along with my dragon.

I thank learning to make a better rig would be a good use of my time.

But I DO want to know what you think, should I spend a few days learning more about rigging?

Uv's Unwrapped! Textures, Done!

Ok, now all I have to do with this guy is rig him. Then a certain gryphon is in real trouble.

The lighting in this scene is carried over from an old animation, and I think it is a bit off. 

However, if the dragon's texture still proves to 'shiny' in the future, it will be easy to fix, so don't worry about that.

Ahh, and the second image, is just showing off the UV before I added all the textures.

Well that took a long ass time.

So I have finally gone and retopoligized my dragons body mesh. The wings, nearly killed me.

But it's done now, all I have to do, is uv unwrap it, then add textures. 

Once that is done, do up a new rig, and we are cooking baby!

I'll have to do something special with the wings. More on that, when I have to cross that bridge!

Ok, I made a few changes to the dragons junk, and I think I looks a lot better than before.

Dragon Upgrades

Ok, so the first two images here are of the dragons new junk, on the old base model. I have also gone and fixed his feet, and the claws on his wings. 

I also slightly changed the shape of his head, but you will probably not notice.

I'll have to do retopo on the whole model tomorrow, that will be fun. Once that is done, I'll look at giving him new horns. 

I'm also working on spines, for his back, but only time will tell if they will survive the process.

By far the most voted animation idea was, dragon rapes gryphon!

So I have started work on upgrading my dragon model. I was going to completely remake this character from the ground up, by doing a gnomon workshop tutorial, and then using what I had learned.

But that was a little too expensive for this months budget.

But, on the bright side, my dragon sculpt is already pretty good! So I have decided to work from here down, by fixing some of the details and errors in...

Next animation! (Voting Poll!)

Depending on what you pick, I will first need to work on one of the characters, make it look better. Then also work on the rig.

My only "up to code" characters right now are my gnoll, raptor, and gryphon.

All the other ones need a bit of work. I'll have to work on a character no matter what, so choose freely.

I'll spend the next day or so learning from a rigging tutorial. To give you guys time to vote.

I was really hoping to upload everything tonight, but It looks like it's going to have to wait until morning.

But Its not all bad news, I get a few tutorials for crazy cheap on udemy. Some $200 worth for about $30, I'm have no complaints there.

That main tutorial I am excited about, is one on how to rig for blender.

The Rig is what allows me to animate my characters, and my rigs are not the best.

Learning how to rig properly, from a pro, will really help a lot.

Ok, so there is a small chance I may be told to evacuate.

An area near me is on fire right now, I know, heavy bummer.

(Its like a 10 min drive, so its not super close.)

It's been handled for tonight I'm told, but the worry is tomorrow it might get out of control due to how hot it will get during the day.

(On the bright side, there is a chance it might die out tonight, then everything is all good.)

New Computers a beast!

I have just finished the next part of the animation, and now I'm about the render it overnight, and into the next day as well. I can keep rendering while I make the finish!

It will not be long before this animation is ready, and about time too!

This computer has no way to access my internet yet, But I have ordered a wi fi usb stick, so that problem will solve itself.

Ok, as promised, I am rendering as much of the anal section of the animation as I can for you guys to see.

I've had to lose the render progress once, due to issues with the gnolls hair, and that sucked, but at least the gnoll hair is now playing ball.

(Due to this, there will not be as much to show as I would like. That's on me.)

My parts for my second computer still haven't arrived, but I'm confident they will be here on monday. Then I can get that set up, and start renderi...

Case Post, as promised.

Almost all the parts are here, the rest of the PC is still in the mail, but the tracking number assures me it is very close, it may very well arrive tomorrow.

Then I'll just put it together and do some tests. 

I can use my laptop as the job master when I want to use both these machines to render at the same time, or I can just hand out the jobs myself, as I will only need to manage two machines. 

Either way, this is gonna be great.

Animation is coming along nicly!

My renders are starting to catch up with me though, But I have gotten the hardest part of the animation done. (The anal part at least!)

(The very start, it has a bit of grinding before the gryphon finds his mark.)

I don't think I will have this out before the month ends, but quality is important.

I am also playing with two different views, seeing what looks good. 

I'm thinking I try a mix between the two views tomorrow.

So, I haven't gotten too much done over the weekend, But I am putting in a little work where time permits.

Some of the parts for my new computer have arrived. Sure, it's not exactly joining the master race level stuff, but It doesn't need to be.

I finally have something new to show you guys, I have gotten some poses down for the next part of the animation. (This pose still needs a lot of work, the wings mostly)

But with a render farm, I can get renders done much faster. I can make a farm out of just any old computer. The more computers I can get my hands on, the better.
