Princess Panic #1... again?

Yeah... so I wanted to create a new pinned tweet promoting Princess Panic. I realized I wanted to include the first comic in the tweet, but it's gettin' kinda hard to share that one since I wasn't sure how serious I'd end up with the comic at first and the art was REALLY scratchy. So one thing led to another, and I redrew the first comic. It was something I was planning to do sometime in the future, so why not today?

This was one of those cases where I kinda realized, as I was doing the "pencil" sketch layer of the image, that the final "ink" lines would probably end up worse, so I just made the sketch layer the final art. That's why the lines on this one are a bit rough compared to the others. I followed it up with equally "rough" colors. In the end, it suits her, don't you think? This one came out okay, but once again I feel like I held back too much and also over-revised it and the drawing lacks life in the end. Maybe this year I'll fix this kinda thing.

Maybe I should draw some Dragon Half fancomics and try to really bust out with these characters.

This one of the helpful fairy from the Hunie games came out a little better... I think the elongated CLAMP limbs helped.
