Chapter 4: Week 20 progress

Hey, Homies!

I finally figured out some of the issues plaguing me last week and I was able to finish 2 animations, despite the render times still being quite long.  To make a long story short, the culprits were a combination of improper lighting and a secondary camera settings location that somehow got activated and kept my test animations at 1080p regardless of what my main camera settings were.  

Either way, the problem was mostly fixed and some animations were made!...

Chapter 4: Week 19 progress

Hey, Homies!

The scene I've been working on this week has been a nightmare.  I wasted a lot of time trying to fix the scene to get it working better, but I eventually had to give up as I was wasting more trying to fix the problem than I would be just powering through it.  To give you an idea...  Between set-up and rendering, each regular image has been averaging nearly 1.5-2 hours a piece and they're still below my usual quality standards.

Not all of you may have heard, but I learned on Tuesday that Steam won't accept Homelander onto its platform.  It certainly took the wind out of my sails for the rest of the week.  I tried to do whatever I could to make development progress, but up until Friday, I was pretty disheartened.  Thankfully after taking a bit of time to cool off, I got right back to work.

Another week down and I feel like things are finally starting to balance out a little.  There's still not a lot of crazy development progress, but my life's progress has been good!  

As for development, I did get a fair amount of time to spend on the game, however, I was apparently all caught up on the script so I had to write a bunch more before being able to render out more of the scenes.

Not much to report this week as it's been another week of trying to figure my life out.  I have a few leads on living arrangements so hopefully, that whole mess won't be an issue for much longer.  The Stream launch is still waiting on review from staff so I'm hoping that will get sorted soon as well.

It's been another crazy week but at least I feel like I got some work done.  It was admittedly another slow crawl this week, as I've been juggling a lot of stuff, but I still made some important progress.
