The printing company just emailed me back that they sent the physical proof!
For those of you that don't know what that is, a physical proof is the example copy of what the other printed books are going to look like.
Then the printing company followed up with the mail tracking code and IM SO EXCITEDDDDDD!!

Again, sorry for confusion on the Page title/number. In the original order of pages, this one would have been right after the original Page 237, but when I revised the final order of pages it turned out being placed right after Page 228.
I wanted a better transition into the part where Bel attacks Liam. It needed a little more tension before the fight trigger pulls.

The set up from magic lore to Norman testing out his affinity was rough. I felt like it needed some extra OOMPH to really bridge the gap/transition. And Cal was the perfect demon for the job lol.

I REALLY wanted to add an aside for Cal. He hasn't had many of his own moments outside of his interactions with Norman since he was summoned. So I felt like I needed to give him one before Volume 1 ended.
Plus, HOW COULD I RESIST the opportunity to take on the "angel/devil on the shoulder" bit, but make them both devils πΉπ₯

For this part in Chapter 5, I wanted to flesh out Norman's conversation with Cal. We had a LOT of lore dump in the part where Norman explains how magic works. I wanted to offset that with a refreshing dialogue between our two golden boys.

One of the things I regret about the Cerberus/Jin fight in Chapter 5 was I didn't give enough space for the fight to really BREATHE and explore the world building I had set up.
Like what are demon sins? How do they work? What is the power structure among demons? Why is it important?
So I tried to add a little bit in the extra pages here to make up for some of that.

I hated the original way I wrote for this fight scene. It was very blocky. I also feel like I didn't give Daryl enough wiggle room in the original script to create effective panel transitions. So the original Page 156 got a bit of a rework and we added Page 156A to smooth out the change :)

I don't like seeing you starve.
For this page, I wanted to set up the long ass exposition Norman gives Cal on page 144 better. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the way Page 144 is written, I just felt like it needed more time to build into the dialogue there. So 143A fills the mold :)
