Hey guys, I am going to owe you a new BT page this month, unfortunately it's that cover page. Covers usually take me at least a week or two to make (Which is part of why I take time off between issues).  BT doesn't really have the same regular schedule as Kaerwyn so it's hard to get a decent chunk of time in to work on it.

Slight BT Problem

My intention this week was to get as many BTs done as possible so I can get what I owe you and have a buffer.

Except something is about to happen that I forgot about.  That something is the end of Issue 20 and the start of Issue 21.  That means I need to paint a cover page.

I'm trying to figure out if I should skip the cover page and jump straight into page 2 of Issue 21 and keep going from there, and then paint the cover page later.

The Christmas Schedule

First, let me say thank you to everyone that has access to this post. Some of you returned after the Patreon FEEasco.  I went from -$46 in pledges to +$13!  Thank you all so much for your continued support so I can work on comics for a living.

Just to let you know, I will taking the next two weeks off for Christmas and New Years.  At least from Kaerwyn.  I'm going to be trying to make as many BT's as I can during this time so I don't run into anymore time ruts.

We did it folks! All of our ire came forward! Patreon is not rolling out their new fee plan. I understand that fees might go up because there are issues they addressed, but this is definitely the right direction.

I might still set up alternatives to Patreon, but I will not be changing my Patreon, at least not soon.

Alternatives to Patreon

I'm sorry, all.  I know you're probably annoyed and tired of all these posts related to the fee changes of Patreon.  It's important to me because I feel it's unfair that you're now carrying the burden. But also, I pushed and pushed and PUSHED to get people willing to sub at $1 and now they're the ones being most impacted by this.  I have about 25 patrons that sub at $3 and below. I've already lost almost $50 in subs, so that could easily become $75 if a significant number of peopl...

Would you switch to my own subscription setup?

I am looking into an alternative to Patreon right now, by setting up my own CMS with a paywall/subscriptions. The ones I am specifically looking at using mostly use Paypal, with Stripe being potentially available - but basically I would, at no point, have your payment/credit card information. I don't want it. Security is something I worry about and I know I wouldn't be able to handle that. So that said, would you be willing to switch to a paywall on my own site?

I just want to thank you guys for sticking with me.  After Patreon's announcement, I've lost $46/month in subs.  I expect that number to go up after they actually roll out this new fee structure (Garbage).
