this is a little later than "a couple days"; while i was working on this, we had a power outage for a day due to a storm and i lost most of my progress on this as well, and had to redo it.
the topic of art and its social roles was one that i considered for the comic, but i felt it could also fit easily into the themes of drawing a blank, and you can see it's pretty lengthy to talk about, so it was ultimately cut out to focus on abstract art and politics.

hey folks. it's a new month, during which i'll be turning 24, and my lease will also be ending!
moving updates: i haven't secured a new place yet, still waiting for one to get back but it's been 2 weeks of calling them about the application now, so who knows. if i don't find a place by halfway through this month, i'm going to assume i'm not going to find one before my lease ends.
i have a handful of options for staying at various other people's places as an interim, but moving house is exh...
i mentioned a while back that i had a dream about a spongebob crossover with outis.
this was originally gonna be warm-up today, but it ended up taking a LOT longer than i thought it would, so... now it's the sketch comic for this week. that's also why it doesn't have borders, and it's a lot wider than usual. (the painting also wasn't a field of oats in the dream, it was a picasso sculpture for some reason)
that's a wrap. i wanted to spend more time on the painting, but... i'm a very busy person.
the next side comic about lola and jason will started in a couple weeks, no poll this time, because it was already voted for earlier.

this is a comic that drew quite a bit of a few months back, but i realized how long it was going to end up being.
the original concept also had a scene cut to both malcolm and izzi in front sobbing in a bar with her embarrassed girlfriend because the alcohol unwittingly exacerbated malcolm's emotions, and then diesel takes it from both of them and apologizes and walks home.
buuuut, decided against it, made a different "punchline."
