The races update won't be limited to races, it will have significant utility redesigns, rules expanded explanations, many balance tweaks, and some minor mechanical bits. Whether if to release non-races-related content in the first part of the update, or wait until the content of the race is complete, is up to you.

Engaging in combat and performing an offensive action is not just a matter of rolling the dice to determine if your hit or not. Right before rolling, you will set the mechanical approach to your attack, whereas by brutal offensive or tactical maneuvering.
