Well, that was a dumb thing to do...

Possum Girl Pinup sketch

Every now and then I do a pencil sketch for my wife (who is an AMAZING artist) to ink. I haven't got her inked version but, here is my possum pinup girl. We decided that, within the anthro art community, opossums get little love. 

So, I did her as a little backwoods babe. A little scruffy but with a big heart. I did one a while back but, I wanted to do a more finished composition. I'm digitally inking her now.

Goth Piggy Quickie

Did a sketch on the deck this AM of a goth piggy. Did a nearly as quick ink and color of it just now as I thought you all deserved a goth piggy. 

Modeled her on the piggy from Finders Keepers, only with different hair and not tattoos. I may revisit her for that but, after doing some really good-looking tattoos, I can't just do the scribbly ones I did for the comic. 

Imp Librarian Sketch Dump

Here are a pile of sketches of the little librarian. She started off as a goblin but, then the idea of a succubus' assistant formed. In the two sequence sketches, you can get a feel for my process of super-sketchy to more refined. The last image was going to be the final but, I didn't like their poses.

Ivan Clouette was a librarian and a good one. Budget cuts and a head librarian that refused to either die or retire meant he was going to go nowhere at his job at the New Bradford Town Library.

Then, unbidden but, oddly timely, an email pinged into his in-box. An invitation to apply for an assistant librarian at a university he'd never heard of before: Miskatonic University in Western Massachuestts. Participating in our local Open Studio Weekend with my wife and, even though I've started on a new little TF/TG sequence for you, I couldn't work on it with the public around ;-)

So, I thought I'd ink up this one! Some things worked and some didn't. It's my first fully-inked piece in forever. Still trying to get some specificity in my mark-making and I still don't know how to ink female flesh without it looking lik...

Impish lawyer

This was a coffee sketch yesterday that I thought I'd ink up really quickly. Not sure about the story. Just an imp lawyer? A Be The Girl where a demon needed a paralegal? A lawyer who made the wrong deal or, like this guy, went to Hell and got TF'd into a demon?

Whichever, this was definitely inspired by Helluva Boss...

Spent the morning inking this. Turned out much better than I expected. It's 8.5"x11". I'm going to try to do a full ink of it. LOTS of crosshatching likely. We'll see!

Be the Girl: Tabby

Hey, gang!

Still trying to get the mojo back. Getting close. Did another be the girl that, I'll have to admit, wasn't entirely random after a while. 

I did a TINY sketch at the coffee shop his AM and then did a quick two-hour digital ink-and-color. If you compare the BTG stats, yes, I missed a bit but, then I didn't have the stats with me at the time. The proportions are also a bit off but, then this was a teeny sketch.

More Wifwolf and sketchdump

Another Stepford wifwolf was requested by a patron and my wife, so how could I say no? She's serving grownup fare this time.

The sketch of her, as you can see, was from today. 

The werewolf and wifwolf drawings were an idea from my wife who wanted to see a werewolf Valentine's day card-style image referencing the spaghetti scene from Lady and the Tramp. Even though it was still her idea, she said 'ewwww!'. Did another sketch and am considering doing some gross werewolf/wifwol...

Physically back and trying to be mentally back as well

Back from our friends' and it was a magnificent get-away. 

The highlight was that I managed to convince them to try Dungeons and Dragons. I wrote up a one-shot in 36 hours before we left about two rival medieval breweries. 

The hook was that the owner of one of the breweries had accidentally changed herself into a were-rat and became a Bat-Man style villain; bent on using alchemy to poison the rival's beer so it changed humans into giant rats (with the help of humanoid r...

Heading to my nation's capital to hang with some friends (one I helped do the illustrations for her biology PHD) for a week.

Like maybe Saturday. Juat a sketch stream rather than a watchig-me-work stream. I know I've got lots of work pending for you all but, my minds been aflutter lately and would like a little community interaction with the art.

The sketch pages are literally from Wednesday. Decided to portray the ButtonBuck™ PillowPet™ as a furry shemale instead. The historian in me had an inordinately good laugh at Doeboi.

Hey, gang!

Digitally inking a couple of comics pages today and thought I'd give you some sketches. From now on, while there are still some of you here, Patrons will be the only ones to get sketch dumps. If I ever send out the call for ideas and there's anything on any of my sketches you'd like me to revisit...

Assuming the Position 5: redux

So, I've re-scripted the comic. It felt really slow and LONG, so, I thought I'd edit things to make it run a bit leaner. To speed things up for you, I'm also working on a smaller scale. Originally I was drawing 10.5"x14" and scaling down; now I'm at 7.5x10. In addition, it's digitally inked. Let  me know if you like this direction and style.

Trying some digital inking to get this out to you a bit faster. Can you see a difference? If so, do you like it or dislike it?

Noticed that there seems to be a lot of cross-dressing as the initial stage of a TF/TG in my work lately. This is weird. I had scripted this early and didn't consciously think of it when I did the Skunk Maid TF. Anyone want to psychoanalyze it? ;-)

Three Random Things!

Starting with the last thing first.

1) SPOILER! I'm working on digitally inking the next page of cookies. Just to see how long it takes. No dialog but, I really think the images show everything pretty well. Look now, or wait until it's fully done, it's up to you!

2) A few days ago, I digitally inked and colored a small sketch of the SnoBunni. Still want to write a story where a snowboarder who's a jerk to his GF gets his magical comeuppance: ending up a short, fat, uncoordinated, ...
