So, I'm deep into the new comic and sketching for the aviator-to-kaiju sequence but, every now and then, I need a break. And THEN, I need a little pick-me-up. Often, this has been a single Be The Girl image. But, it can be other things, and you can help choose.

Here we go. I took a deep breath and decided to jump back on that horse. I owe it to all of you (and others, I REALLY owe). I expect things to improve as the pages go forward. 

This comic is what Sharkie chose instead of a pile of monthly drawings and I hope you'll all like it.

Been feeling very down (sorry for the TMI) and been finding it hard to draw without feeling like an utter hack. Back in Sept, a co-worker asked VERY nicely for a drawing from me. Art and Update

Hey, gang! Hope your holidays are going as well as possible, no matter what you celebrate. I've been busy at work and... not to TMI you too much but, it's been so hard to put pencil to paper. I've tried but, lots of anger, frustration and throwing drawings into the woodstove (the best way to dispose of failures, imho). I'll have an update when I post her (and it will be a 'her' unless you all sing out that you'd like a reindeer buck, instead...).

So, to try to get back into the groove, ...

This is actually the first sticker I've done! 

The Stickerfied company is wonderful. My wife's been using them for years and they always give more than you pay for. For instance, I decidedly did not order HUGE stickers. But, I got one of each design huge. The person I designed them for (the previously mentioned unicorn-loving former Army medic) got the big ones. Sorry :-(

Holidays thoughs

So, art in the queue continues being worked on. Since people voted for no special holiday art, I was wondering how you'd feel about a holiday stream? I'll work on whatever art is in the pike at that moment and anyone who shows up can get a sketch. I want to do something at least slightly special to show I appreciate all of you.

Stickers and such

So, I have a friend who's a former U.S. Army medic (five tours) and the nicest human you'll ever meet. He's also WAY into unicorns. Yup. Fireplug-shaped, tattoo-covered, shaved-head and bearded Southern boy who's way into unicorns. He even got pirate Fox Shocks stickers with MLP designs for his mountain bike. He also made a fender for his fork from a MLP placemat. 

Anyhoo. 

I was stuck for a Xmas gift for him and thought I'd crank out some stickers based on military unit...

Be the Girl Commission: Sabine Elmire Augustine Lebrun

Well, WAYYYYY back in August (doesn't it feel like forever ago?), I took a couple of days to do a commissioned Be The Girl Gameshow piece for someone that made a comment on one of my BTG pieces on FA. It ended up being role-play rather than just listing out numbers but was loads of fun (though, if I do it again, I'm charging WAY more. Lots of work. Almost as much as DM-ing a D&D campaign).

Be The Girl: Yoshiko "Momo" Takahara

So, I was sketching my Little Goth Bassist and thought I'd do up a Be The Girl and a backstory for her. This How It Started/How It's Going piece only reflects the time after the TF. She and her family move to America and she gets caught up in the local music scene; going goth while staying a dutiful Japanese daughter.

The piece, of course, doesn't reflect the transformation of me (since I did this for myself, natch) into Yoshiko. I just didn't feel like drawing myself ;-)

Inktober 2021 3-6

Inktober continues. Got another TRANSFORM that wasn't even from any of you ;-)

You may notice that 4 and 6 are the same prompt words. I did 4 and then asked the friend who prompted me what their idea was and theirs was so much sweeter and nicer than mine, I had to do it. I made it as a 60s sci-fi cover. I wanted to use Elisyum instead of the Hesperides but, that was obviously taken. As it its, immortality could come into play if there story is ever written.

Inktober 2021

So, Inktober 2021 has started. I'm sorry to say that I put this year's subject to a vote between "Spacegirls" and "Kemonomimi" and I'm a bit sorry to report that Spacegirls won. These will all be some sort of Spacegirl, most often an fifties sort of spacegirl with impractical heels and space skirts.

Boggy thought the cartoony dragon for Sharkie was so cool, they wanted to be turned into one of their own! After a bunch of sketches, we ended up with this idea.
