Finally! Another one of my sketch dump participants! I had so much fun drawing it, even though I'm not 100% satisfied.

It's a rather straight forward image, nothing really "difficult" about it, but I had a hard time color grading it. Imo, it's a bit too blue and the shadows aren't as deep as I had them in mind originally, but I couldn't figure out editing it afterwards either.
Dabi's hand appear a bit flat too, but o well.

This was a quick-start and it was so much fun, until it got put aside... after that it was dragging ugh! I guess I am not that kind of person that should start projects and finish them just weeks later. But as I warned before, this month is a bit chaotic.

Just for reference: Sketch + Linework was done in one night. Shading of face + hair was finished in 1-2h and then... nothing. Idk for sure, but I think it took me this entire week to finish it?

To be fair, it isn't much, but I had this idea for quite some time. I wanted to reference the japanese repair technique "金継ぎ" because I just love the meaning/philosophy behind that. Basically it's just repairing broken e.g porcelain cups with gold (or other precious metals) instead of glue or other kinds of material. It's done to honor the objects history, rather than just repairing it seamlessl...
