Linde and Alice Poolside
Working on a wholesome, modern pool set with Linde Witteveen and Alice Laffut. Gonna make it a little tropical, more uplifting and happy or wholesome than the last one with Daria and the orcs.

I wanna be nice to Daria too at some point soon though, so maybe her muscular frame in a bikini would be a nice twist half-way through the set.

Dressed Daria up for her gladiator set and made a big 'ol orc/troll/Shrek. Gonna be set in the woods.

Posed all her images this week, just need to render for next week. Should be 6-7 images.

Felt like Nina was getting a little too thick around the lower half of their body, so "Honey, I shrunk the kids again".

Started off with the idea of making something pretty and beautiful, but I ended up just making smut again. -_-

Fixed Claudia though! She was eating a whole lot of resources whenever I used her, so much so that it'd be near impossible to pair her up with other characters. I found out it was her body hair that was eating up around 1.5GB's of memory, which is unnecessarily high-quality. ...

Bad news first;

Normally I'd have a release today, the sauna set. But as you can see in the image with Nina; there's some issues with transparency and volumetric lights.

This hair model is made with transparency maps, simply put, it's an image that tells DAZ which part of the hair model should be transparent (or see-through) and which parts aren't. More sauna stuff. Kinda fallen out of love with this set, don't know where to go with it. I think what I like doing more is themed stuff, instead of location stuff.

Like with this sauna set, the only thing that's different is the location. Any of these poses work outside of the environment. The yoga thing was more interesting because of it's strong theme whereas this one's just.. it's in a sauna.

Futher progress on the yoga scene. Fluid sim was fucking up and I gave up on it and decided to just do it the old fashioned way. This is the last pose for the yoga thing, so it's only rendering that's left for it. Should be ready for editing next week.

Yoga Progress
I think this'll be it for the yoga thing. I'm not having a great time with it, although I do like these two poses a bit more. I'm still having problems with the render times. I tried a few things, but I haven't nailed what the issue exactly is.

Also trying some, a little more realistic, liquid physics. Going for a really thick load with this one.

Yoga Progress
More poses. Kinda feeling this set isn't as spectacularly.. wild than the others. I'm not learning a lot from this one, so it's hard for me to get that excited about it.

Also, a lot of technical issues with this one. For some reason, even with a lot of the scenery "turned off", the render times are atrocious. Usually in 8 hours, I get around 3500 samples. Depending on a lot of factors. Now, in 9 and a half hours, I don't even hit 1000.

Failed Renders
I always render a lot during the weekend, it allows me to recharge creatively and not spend all my time behind the computer whilst it renders things out.
Unfortunately 3 out of 4 renders failed this weekend. The videocard ran out of memory and so I need to re-render them. It just means I lost a lot of time, which MIGHT delay some things unfortunately.

Shorter day, felt kind of off and sick today. Was a bit dizzy and in general in a funky mood.

1080p Test Render
Hadn't tested out a 1080p render, this one came around the same amount of samples in about one hour of rendering. I think 1080p is a bit too low of a resolution, but it's interesting how halving the resolution makes it almost 8 times faster to render things.

I also think the image is kinda nice and it's a nice preview of the environment.

I was unhappy with how the yoga piece was turning out, so I rebuilt it. I like the atmosphere a lot more now and with Amaya in the mix, I think something good might come of this.
