After exploring much of Gwyntarr, players will naturally want to head to Mayor Katherine Savoy's Mansion in hopes of finding out why the Mayor has gone missing. Things have been strange ever since player's arrived, things have seemed not quite right-- and things are about to get extremely intense as players unlock the mysteries inside the Mayor's House. Decorated with a lavish hand-- the eerie thing is the Grandfather Clocks that are randomly strewn about every floor. What reason they are her...

Throughout the town of Gwyntarr, a few areas stand out as most interesting. The first being the Docks where a group might want to get a hold of ship after certain events in the cave system. Another is the path leading to and from the Mayor's House, certainly possible to run into someone on either path. Finally there could be an event just outside the Bass and the Hook, a lovely little Inn-- though not the warmest greetings to be had just yet outside.

What could be less unassuming that a beautiful clock tower right in the middle of town. This paramount of the town sits higher than anything, short of the Mayor's house on the ridge. It's rather quiet inside most days and gives a wonderful glow to the rest of the town at night. Certainly there's nothing nefarious going on here...
Side note, I highly recommend look at Czepeku's Arcane Clocktower. I used a few of the maps for the inside of this clock tower: 2024-09-11 16:00:12 +0000 UTC

To the West of the Temple of Habakkuk is the entry way to a small cave system outside the Northern edge of Gwnytarr. The caves are not traveled frequently and it's for good reason. While the Temple may have belonged to Habakkuk, there was another deity worshiped in this area.

The Yuan-ti possess a vicious hound which is able to seek out prey whether in the water or by land. Yuan-ti also happen to be staunchly opposed to the god Habbakuk and have been known to attack those who worship or they assume worship him.

To the North of Gwyntarr are the remains of a decayed temple from a time before the cataclysm when the gods were still worshipped on Krynn. This Temple belonged to the god Habbakuk who is the lord of beasts and sailors most noteably. The Temple has long since been shunned, left decaying, and kept just beyond the safety of the walls built around the town. Of course, that does not mean there is no worth to Temple--

Deep within the Fewild is a creature meant to be a guardian over certain pockets it has been left to protect. While the Fey Sentinel is only motivated to defend, it will attack if it senses a threat against itself, the pocket is guards, or if given a command. Most terrifying is that the masks on its body detach and leave the host body immune to all damage, though as the masks are destroyed the host body will be damaged in the process. With the masks moving freely, the sentinel can attack from...

Welcome to Gwyntarr, a beautiful port town situated on the North Western Coast of Southlund. With a bustling economy, a thriving seaport, and protection to the North and East from the Vingaard Mountains it seems like a peaceful place to live. There however is something dark stirring in Gwyntarr, something-- devastating. There is more than one power vying for supremacy and a godly gaze is watching what happens next with a growing rage that thirsts for vengeance... Time is of the essence here! ...

While not technically a monster, Blightenrot is setup to be a Level 6 sidekick for the adventuring party. Running into him may not be the positive omen a party expects, however, as his Chaotic nature will lead him to sacrifice an adventuring party if it means saving his own bark. Trapped by the nightmarish Swamp Spiders, Blightenrot will only leave his Treeish State when someone is close enough to him that he can chaotically alert the spiders of their presence beneath and hope to escape while...

Far to the East of Larnwick, leading past the devastation that tore through towards the Mayor's House, lays a small hovel nestled in the thicket. Past the barricades that push the edges of the swamp is a small piece of solid land with a hovel on the far side. This is the lost home of Urminar, the Daergar Dwarf who those who paid attention to the Mayor's journal might have discovered his treachery. Inside is a small breeding pond used for his newest bred Hydra and you can be sure that another ...

These imperfect spawn of Uzkesh possess her poisonous abilities, but lack the sheer power that Uzkesh herself had attained. Though Urminar has toiled to breed a hydra that could match the ferocity of Uzkesh, each one has been met with failure. Still powerful, incredibly deadly, these Hydra are typically the last thing seen by many who venture into the Brakens and are not consumed be other fauna.

Inside of the devastated town of Larnwick, many of the buildings have fallen into such a state of decay that they are no longer habitable. Of the few homes that seem to still be in a state that seems structurally sound enough to handle the weight of a group, there appears to only be two. One is a home that sits near the center of the town, directly in the path of destroyed buildings. The other is a larger building that appears to be an Inn fallen into disrepair.
While the town is certa...

Deep within the Brakens, creatures have transformed over the past centuries to suitably survive this vile landscape. The Moss Gator may appear very much like a typical alligator, but it is more plant than it is beast. The Swamp Spider carries symbiotic fungi on its body that enhance its already deadly array of abilities. Running into either has been the downfall of many who would venture into the Brakens and since reports have not reached even Riverwall Wharf, it seems none have survived an e...

Riverwall Wharf is located on the Southern edge of the Vingaard River and still is used as a port to the lower areas of Southlund and back North up the Vingaard River. Lara Wombles is the proprietor of The Bog Hag Inn and runs a small shipping business out of the Inn. This is the only place that you can reach The Brakens from and Lara knows exactly where one of the last safe entrances into the swamp lays. Getting across the Vingaard River is the easy part, once you land on the docks the Brake...

On Fridays, I'm going to try to have homebrew monsters that are linked with maps that I post on Mondays.
Uzkesh and Urminar: Urminar, the mad Daergar Dwarf, who has devoted his life to the breeding of the perfect Hydra. What could be more perfect than his first creation, Uzkesh, the Matriarch of all the Hydra he's created since? Uzkesh was one of a kind however and after something happened-- well, Urminar has not been able to recreate the same. That is why he wants more...

This entry way to the Temple of Evil seems to be little more than an abandoned temple. Even as you enter it seems that whatever deity was worshiped here is either long forgotten or has since long abandoned this temple. Looks can be very deceiving however as much more lays hidden beneath what you can see.
