Madou Jua-mata (No helmet)

Good Morning Rafe (tone)
Rafe again, from the side. Looks like he's just woke up!
I kept his face the same more or less, concentrating instead on turning the body 90 degrees and lowering his arms. It was a lot of fun (and sometimes frustrating) trying to replicate him accurately in a different position, especially coming from the arms-up pose of before to this more relaxed and natural stance.

I wasn't happy with the last version, so I have redrawn Rafe in a cleaner style. The previous edition was rather twisted and untidy, and the anatomy was off. I've straightened him up and made everything just a little more obvious. Exaggeration, within realms of feasible, is my aim. A cartoon that is yet detailed.
Colour to follow, probably on Friday, but I really like the tone edition.

It's always hard to draw this side view where you see both the chest and the back, but if the character's far arm is pushed back a bit it helps bring round the shoulder blade so we can see it.
This is a kind of washed out style.
