Greetings patrons! Enjoy the first look at Classic Game Room - Farewell and Thanks for the Laser Bathysphere issue #1. These are rough page storyboards.
For a long list of reasons I decided to take my original novel script and convert it into a comic book. One reason is that I like the concept and plot a lot, but so much of it is visual and deep-space related, or time-travel, or universe hopping... makes a good comic book as long as I can justify drawing it.
Good news everyone! I ...

Friends and neighbors and random drunken dolphin friends - Robot Kitten Factory 2 is so close! SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE!
Were it not for the fact that I'm supervising the layout and cover design for like 83 other books this would have been done 10 times over but the wait will be worth it. It's so good! I love the Robot cats and the team of soldiers who will eventually form the.... well, you'll see.
Anyway, this NOT final, not QA'd yet, but pretty close. I'm doing the finishing text ...

It's time to finally wrap up the details and release Robot Kitten Factory #2! Pictured on this post are some 99% complete pages without text or sound effects. These are the final works from Procreate on their way to finishing in Photoshop.
I'm wrapping the book up this week. Like usual it ran behind as I completed a few other projects in July, but it's on the Wacom this week and getting polished.
So, for those interested, yes this will be a physical and digital release. Also, ther...

How about some stuff to look at and read y'nz? Like usual, behind the scenes, there has been a lot going on. Take a look at three pieces of art:
1. Robot Kitten Factory issue #2, page 95% complete
2. Omega Ronin #1 sketch, page 10% complete
3. The Horrible Octopus (published 2020)
OMEGA RONIN
Ok, so the big news. After writing the first few chapters of Omega Ronin as a novel (again) I focused more ideas and went back to draw it AGAIN (version 6!)...

It's a great day for Robot Kittens. It's a great day for robots in general. We need an army of Robot Kittens to fix this stupid planet and make every day greater than it is without Robot Kittens.
I hope you've all had a nice June. I have enjoyed it thoroughly and spent a great deal of time biking and more biking and drawing and enjoying some beers. This is a "building" month for me, where I spend a lot of time creating with plans to release later in the year. Also being doing a load of ...

As it turns out I had some more work done last year on Ethel the Cyborg Ninja 3 than I thought, and I dug it out and finished writing it over the weekend. Sometimes taking a break from a project is the best way to really finish it because the script turned out better when I re-imagined a few things. Cosmic Death Brick joins the book and it is awesome.
Soooo, release update. There will be an Ethel 3 in 2021. Also, I was working on enlarging and reprinting the first two issues a...

Hello everyone! Some good news and bad news, well not that bad. Just annoying. I’ll start with kinda bad. My laptop died. OH NO! Not a big deal, no data loss and I have like two other computers and an iPad, but it was my writing computer and I don’t want to deal with installing word on another machine on a Friday afternoon. So, basically it’ll be a few days or so until the next installment of Laser Bathysphere. That’s all. See? Not that bad.
With any luck you’ll get to see the...

I had most of Robot Kitten Factory issue 2 completed early last year but then this little thing called a pandemic hit. While that doesn't sound like something that would affect robot cats, it kinda did because I re-shuffled a bunch of projects and also stopped drawing at my diner on saturday mornings (which is where most of the book was created!)
Now that things have stabilized a bit I'm picking up more creative work and also wrapping up a few half-complete books like this one. The "ret...

Great news everyone! Last year was "interesting" as everyone knows, but the good news is that I hid in a bunker and survived. I hope you survived too. Fist in the air, we win!
This year I'm laying out more creative projects than '20 and there will be 4 books launching in November. Three novels and a comic book, maybe more (and maybe something gets bumped into '22 but whatever, these are all looking good.) You'll get to see them all develop as I work on them.
I fixed a lot of the i...

All right, now we're rocking. Here's part 4 of the Classic Game Room adventure (this is non-fiction of course.) I am planning to get some cover artwork for this book (and Omega Ronin - the novel) up on the website soon. I am planning to release both books as hardcovers in November.
The following segment is rough, of course. Only one quick QA and editing pass, I'm sure much will change. But this is the part where CGR persona Mark witnesses the end of REDACTED and starts his REDACTE...

“This is one of the weirdest dreams I’ve had in a long time. I hope I remember it.” Mark said while taking another giant swig of coffee while scratching the snoozing Stella behind the ear.
Edit-Station 1’s expression changed from a giant smile to a stern look, as stern as a vector graphics monitor could look. “I know it sounds crazy, but you have to believe me. All universes need you right now. The fate of everything, everywhere, in every time, is at stake. Finish your pancake...

Hmmm....
It was a rainy Pennsylvania night when Mark Bussler opened a mysterious email with no subject from a sender named “Edit-Station 1.”
“Now what?” He thought to himself as he dubiously clicked it to preview what was inside. 99% of the time, an email from a goofy sender address was spam or some other nonsense from one of his dormant social media accounts.

Hey all. I'm going to have a new video or two next week on some stuff. Been crushed all week.
Question - I have two potential jobs coming up that require professional comic book / manga artists. I will be announcing this publicly soon, but want to bounce it off you here first. One job is Omega Ronin - space, violent, lasers, bad ass. The other job is a lighthearted kids book which requires more of a feminine kawaii style.
I'm not messing around on these jobs. I want top tier artis...

I enjoyed hearing from so many of you about my very spontaneous and last minute Classic Game Room 1982. I'm making another one for yuks.
I always enjoyed making the show - I just couldn't stand the rest of it. And now that I don't have to worry about any of that, well... it was fun! For better or worse I'm limited to PS4 but whatever. It's not as good as Atari 2600 but annoyingly the Atari 2...

Greetings Patrons! I hope this message finds you and your families safe and healthy in these bizarre times. Attached to this post is a look at four more pages of my upcoming Dante's Inferno: The Coloring Book to soothe the nerves and lift the spirits.
I'm probably a week or two away from finishing it, which is a month behind schedule annoyingly. But as you can see, the pictures are very complicated and I chose to pour in as much detail for coloring as I could. Converting shading a...

Color your way through the seven circles of Hell in the upcoming Dante's Inferno: The Coloring Book from yours truly. What's the color of burning fires of darkness? Pink, purple, fuchsia? You decide!
Here's a look at the cover in progress and the art in progress. This project has been a beast, more than 70 engravings redrawn by hand so that people can color them... honestly, my wrist hurts and I still have a week or two to go.
It's a fun way to enjoy Dorè's art and the book will ...

I think most of these are from late 2018 - which is like 1000 years ago!

Ethel the Cyborg Ninja 3 is moving along slowly but surely. One of the first pages is nearly complete with dialog.
Hopefully you caught issue #2 so that you know what's up! If not, they picked up Trebley Fruxlin in a dead space mall because he holds some secret coordinates.
Heads up, I am releasing the first three issues in a big 8" x 1/2" book with higher quality paper this winter. Ethel 3 will also be available in a standard 7x10" retro floppy. Hoping for November launch.<...

Ethel the Cyborg Ninja #3 is in production. The very first page was roughed up today and you get to see it first!
Once again I'm working primarily in Procreate with Photoshop finishing work. You'll be seeing a lot of updates here as they appear. Issue 3 really sets the story in motion after the events in issue 1 and 2. Trebley Fruxlin returns (as pictured) and all hell breaks loose, again.
