After an extremely busy anchorage with boat actually bumping into us, we decide to sail on but as all sailors know the wind that's predicted doesn't always materialise so we end up motoring until we get rather fed up and find ourselves a totally deserted island with a cute little anchorage for the night! Come and join us as we explore the island, enjoy having absolutely no company and sitting in our birthday suits soaking up the evening sunshine with a nice cup of Tea!

Best sail so far this season! calm seas, great winds, sunny skies and a happy, happy crew! Another long episode! We have been so busy. After arriving back to Pickle we get straight on with boat work and have two weeks of annoyance, problems, hard work and finally a relaunch to set sail for distant shores! Join us as we treat osmosis, service our drive leg, anti-foul, refit windows and do so much more.
Next week we relaunch, test sail, then finally leave Almerimar for good..... the excitement is tantalising!

Wow another lockdown! I know you guys understand how frustrating that is for everyone! Well it was for us too, we travelled to England spent time with family and friends over Christmas got some little jobs done for the boat and some new bits to take back including a decent sander 😉 you'll see that in action next episode! Then sadly Nicky had an emergency hospital stay due to a deteriorating spinal and heart condition which needed stabilising, so after weeks of recovery and our vaccinations...

It's been a strange few weeks in Tunisia, that's where we are currently. We weren't expecting to have to stay in the marina and thought we would be sailing lots of different locations, but Tunisian officials think otherwise so here we are exploring Tunisia by land mostly. It's taken a few years, but finally we have had a Lazy Jack bag made and Chris is ecstatic! He's nagged on long enough for it...I think he's earned it! It even took us a while to decide whether to stay with the colour, but we got there in the end, I hope you approve?! We thought we would have lots of fun this week and make you guys a funny underwater Patreon extra episode and also hopefully a sneaky Tiktok if I can edit it ok?!? We (especially the kids) play and swim constantly in the water and we snorkel, free dive and join in with any water sport so this was lots of fun to make for you and also good practice for the kids holding their breath. We have been super busy over the last few days exploring Cagliari in Sardinia, sailing across the med to Tunisia, dealing with loads of officials and finally getting the go ahead to go and explore! After lots of thunderstorms, fixing boat leaks and general boat life chores I think we deserved a bit of fun! After months of sadness over loosing our Salty Sea dog Boza, it was a pleasure to have a Gorgeous little puppy dog on board! Even if it was only for one night. And it was a great distraction from editing, boat jobs and trying to fix up the Spanish car! Another great fun few weeks working on Pickle. The jobs always seem never ending, but we have so much fun and learn new stuff everyday! This week we remove our Genoa (head sail) and give it a big clean before it heads off to the sail makers for a new UV strip. Bruno from Accuresails is so helpful and reasonably priced we also decide to get a lazy jack bag made for our mainsail and a console cover made. I'm very excited for the finished goods...but in the mean time I've earned myself ice cream...
