We're doing it guys!! We're just bloody well doing it! There is no two day window to cross from Greece to Italy so we have to just go for it, we leave in one storm and arrive in another, throw in engine failure at the end and you get the jist of this mad, crazy storm sailing episode with a wonderfully crazy family who just makes the best of the shit that happens! 🤗

We have a very needed break in these crazy weeks of storms! We discover the gorgeous calm surroundings and explore for miles on white sandy beaches, then manage to sail on along the Greek coast and cross to Kefalonia in huge swell, where we take shelter for further nasty strong winds that are on the way!
We leave one anchorage to have a pretty great sail compared to a lot these last few weeks! Arriving in time to avoid the strong winds which were coming! Predicted a Beaufort 9 for 2/3 days straight! We take shelter in beautiful bay which has a lot of shelter from the changing and strong wind conditions we've been running from! We also take this opportunity to explore the local beauty and nature reserve we find ourselves anchored next to!

There are some serious storms about in the Winter in the Mediterranean! And we seem to encounter a few this year! Which is ok but you have to find safe sheltered anchorages when it gets really nasty, and that isn't always as easy as it sounds! After some stormy sailing and the only marina for hundreds of miles turning us away we finally find shelter in a small isolated anchorage and go off exploring... Only to get very lost and in a very pricky situation in the Greek Wilderness!

After one of the best beaches I've ever walked on in Rhodes, a stunningly crazy sunrise, to a isolated fantastically wild anchorage in Crete and crazy sailing and ports in between, we have it all this week guys, including the beautiful dolphins which drive Buddy crazy! And some practice Med mooring in a teeny tiny harbour.

Beaus Leaving!!!! 🥲 We have our final little adventure in Lindos the beautiful village of roof top restaurants, before sadly my Mum and Terry have to return home... Taking Beau with them!! So for the first time ever Beaus not on the boat with us and we're down to three. Sailing away was really hard even though Beau had already gone! But we left and had a long good sail towards Crete, in an aim to beat some bad weather coming our way.
Beau had a fantastic birthday this year guys! We not only have my Mum and Terry visiting us, we also sail to the very cool Anthonys Bay on Rhodes, explore the local area, go off horse riding in the isolated mountains and coast of western Rhodes and enjoy a fabulous evening out to celebrate Beaus 15th 🤗 Next week guys we explore Lindos and say a sad goodbye not only to my Mum and Terry but Beau too!!!!

So much fun and silliness this week guys! My Gorgeous Mum and Terry come to visit, so we start to explore Rhodes, which is a beautiful Greek Island in the Aegean Sea. Sorry the episode is a bit late this week guys! I have been doing a crazy, mad bit of travelling, me and the kids flew back to the UK, drove hundreds of miles, attended several medical appointments and several other important gatherings and meetings as well as running a million errands! And now we are heading back to the boat flying back into Sardinia tomorrow morning, so I have got my days all muddled and episodes are all up in the air... What an eventful few days we have in this episode! I have to apologise in advance for my ranting...... it was extremely frustrating and annoying, being messed about unnecessarily by these officials! Especially when you're on a tight time frame to try and get to another country, check in and pick up family who are visiting in just a few more days!! Huge windy banging sail which we hadn't planned on, but we find an excellent agent and restore my faith in the beautiful Turkish people!

After last week's stunning weather and exploring Dalyan in Turkey, it took us a little unawares when an unpredicted storm blew in, in the middle of the night! We were anchored in a tiny rocky cove tide on to the rocks, which was fine for the previous weather conditions and the weather which was predicted, but this unpredicted storm was straight on the nose pushing us straight onto rocks just a few metres away from our stern and it was totally unsafe! This week's special extended episode sees us visiting Dalyan on the Turkish turquoise coast. We experience the very stinky, but very fun sulphur mud baths, enjoy a beautiful meal after climbing round some amazing ancient ruined city and exploring thousands of year-old carved tombs in the rock side, from an amazing local boat which I didn’t have to captain allllll day!! Woohoo!
We had a cute little stay in an amazing bay, before sailing on in search of this elusive parcel which the second lot of Turkish customs are holding hostage!!! Marmaris is beautiful but definitely too touristy for us so we have a fun sail on to Dalyan, chucking in a few sailing lessons, dolphin spotting and relaxing in the gorgeous Turkish sunshine while taking in the awe inspiring views! Don't forget to tune in again next week, when we strip off and get covered in stinking Mud 😅

Find ourselves in a very quiet little bay where we get talked into going on a bouy and eating in a local rural restaurant in the middle of nowhere. We finally leave Datca, we leave our parcel behind and sail on towards Marmaris with a hope that customs there are more logical. We have a great sail and find a quaint little isolated bay, but we have loads of trouble setting our anchor guys!. You’ll have to watch and find out if we actually get it set before dark!

What starts off as the average kind of week; waiting for a parcel to arrive in Datca, Turkey, a few ordinary jobs like visiting the Turkish barbers and a bit of shopping and exploring the local area quickly turns nasty when a huge crazy storm hits in the middle of the night!
