Episode 153 - Stung by a Box Jellyfish while Sailing! Heaved to, Swimming in Caves!

We heave to, to swim in these wonderful deep Caves in Montenegro as we sail to Budva, and what an experience! thousands of fish, deep, deep blue water and fantastic rock formations, truly wonderful experience until..... I get entangled in a Mediterranean Box Jellyfish! Yes as you can imagine that was extremely painful but thankfully not deadly! Join us as we deal with that little situation and find ourselves in very shallow water when we see what Budva has to offer!

Exploring

Today guys we were mooching around exploring Salamina island near Athens and Bear true to his name had a sneaky climb to the top of this very doddery weird building/old bridge while I was chilling with the pooch…. He looks a very cool little dude up there on top of that 😜 I’m definitely not so sure it was very safe though! But no one was hurt so all’s good and I quite liked the photo Beau captured 😃 so I’m sharing our ‘captured moment in time’ with you guys ❤️

Corinth Canal

We have just passed through the Corinth Canal guys in Greece, passing from the Gulf of Corinth and the beautiful Ionian islands in the Ionian sea to the Aegean Sea and on to Athens and the Aegean islands. Can’t wait to make these episodes for you! 🤗

Episode 152 - Octopus Encounters in Montenegro!

We do lots of sailing this week and stay in a couple of amazing anchorages! We are finally seeing those beautiful sandy beaches again and its fantastic! Swimming, exploring, and snorkelling with some crazy encounters with the local wildlife too, there are Octopus everywhere, even a baby one in Bears cowie shell!  Remember to tune in next week so see how our cave dive goes, my run in with a flipping box jelly fish! and the wonderful sail and exploration of Budva!

Episode 151- Skinny Dipping in Deserted Anchorages in Montenegro!

It has been a week of amazing deserted anchorages one after the other in Montenegro! Episode 150 - Deserted Anchorage in Montenegro - Wild & Free!

After leaving the magnificent Bay of Kotor we had a nights stay in Porto Montenegro Marina, to fill up our water tanks and take advantage of the free electric, so we could charge the batteries and try and dry the boat out a bit with our dehumidifiers! It's so damp at the moment. Then we head out back sailing the beautiful Adriatic Sea and find the most magnificent deserted anchorage to spend a few days wild and free.... does it get any better than this?!?

We are actually sailing to Greece as we speak guys!!!!! We finally fixed everything and got underway 🙌 I don't know how I've managed to get enough internet signal this far out to sea to post this video today guys, but It's working so I'm not complaining... Hope you enjoy this weeks episode!

Episode 148 - Sailing into the Bay of Kotor, Ancient legends of The Lady of the Rock!

As we sail into the Bay of Kotor, we are awe struck by the sheer beauty and magnitude of the surrounding landscape! It is hard to capture the breathtaking views, but I give it a go! We hope you enjoy exploring Perast and The Lady Of the Rock with us, eating freshly caught mussels and drinking ice cold local beer in unique and quaint restaurants by the sea, with the ocean lapping our toe tips!

Episode 146 - Wing-on-Wing sailing to Dubrovnik, Croatia where they filmed Game of Thrones

We have an awesome Wing-on-wing sail this week guys, along the Croatian coast to Dubrovnik, then get to explore the amazing old town which was used in the filming of the Game of thrones! It is stunning and spectacular, you're gonna love it! Shame the end has a down turn when yet another boat drags onto us in the middle of the night!

Episode 145 - Nearly Washed Ashore as we Sail to a Deserted Village with Derelict Buildings!

We have a decent sail in big winds and swell, but just get a little too close for comfort at the last minute on to a rocky little island! A little hair raising but we make it past....just! Finding shelter behind some awesome islands, we anchor in a bay with a deserted village with derelict buildings to explore! Apparently this was an old holiday camp for kids, but the rubbish we find discarded everywhere is so sad and a bit of a mystery! but we have lots of fun looking around the kids have so...

Episode 144 - Sailing in just a cardigan and slippers! Croatia.

Awesome sunsets, exploring new places and big winds with big sails... what more any ask for! Join us this week to experience normal family life aboard a sailboat, Chris and Bear have a nasty gastric flu and we have to keep sailing on to avoid some big winds coming our way! we find yummy cactus fruits and experience sailing onto anchor!

Episode 143 - Sailing Split and Hvar in Croatia, big winds and big sailing.

We have our boat back to just us again! It's soo quiet! Time is of the essence now as we only have about two weeks to Sail down the last of the coast of Croatia and leave before our 90 days runs out! We get on with some prep jobs and set sail for more of the beautiful Croatia islands, trying to avoid yet another big blow coming our way.

Episode 142 - Part 2 Exploring Togir, Split in Croatia & a Sailor at the Football!

Part 2 of our adventures around the beautiful area of Split along the Croatian coastline. We explore the amazing old and new, the ancient ruins in Trogir with its 13th century Cathedral, breathtaking sweeping views from the bell tower at the chapel of St John, quaint bustling markets and giants malls in split to die for! All just a stones throw from Pickles safe little anchorage, and the football ground where the boys hang out and get to watch a live football match, cheering for Split!

We leave the fabulous Blue Lagoon in Croatia, heading to another beautiful anchorage, enjoying snorkelling and underwater jets! But it's not long and we have to sail on to Split, I have to visit hospital for an injury which needs X-rays and MRI's! But don't worry it doesn't stop the Sailing Pickle Family having fun this week!
