After so long with just the voices in his head Bjorn nearly forgot what it was like to travel with someone. The fact that his companion went from a wendigo turned cernunnos to a small Devil pup was just how life went. For him anyway. There was a short debate between Bjorn and Failsafe if she was a Devil. Given the fact that Devils are just Trues from the Infernal Planes Bjorn won the debate.
Chaos Lands were exactly what they always were, dangerous, fluid, and deceivingly beautiful at t...

Screams echoed through the broken tunnels, mingling with the hiss of steam and the groan of shifting stone. Dust hung heavy in the air, choking every breath. Injured workers and terrified civilians stumbled through the rubble, bleeding, crying, calling out names with growing desperation. Collapsed corridors had swallowed entire sections of the underground complex, and people clawed through debris in search of loved ones.
Emergency personnel, both flesh and metal rushed through the carna...

The monsters above were tearing their way down the jagged walls of the former blood maya lake, now a vast, hollowed cavern of chaos. There were six of them, each were abominations far beyond Bjorns current capabilities. Worst still, they seemed to be learning from one another during their brawl. Spells were becoming sharper and less chaotic.
Monsters of their level had some of the purest mana of monster kind. It felt more and more as if there were mages throwing spells than the mo...

✦ The Reformers ✦
Led by: Fourth Prince Baldur Al Kossiheim Qar
The Reformers are a rising political faction born from the ashes of failure. After the Visionaries lost control of the Fort City of Lavi, a window opened—a chance for those royal siblings not yet aligned with any side to take action. Seizing the opportunity, Fourth Prince Baldur emerged as the face ...

❖ The Traditionalists

The Traditionalists represent the militaristic and conservative core of Wendigo society. They are deeply committed to the current power structure, wherein strength in all its forms physical, magical, and political, defines one’s right to rule. Their ideology is deeply rooted in Wendigo tradition,...

Bjorn had lost track of the time he had been down in the tunnels. They were strangely vacant of any monsters; the only ones he had ever seen were Sanguin Travelers that presumably brought him down there to begin with. He didn’t find any tunnels that lead directly to the surface but there were miles and miles of underground caverns and he had only mapped out a small chunk of them between dives into the blood maya.
“Am I going to have to be the one to ask why we haven't needed t...

Eira sat hunched in the eye of a storm made of ink, parchment, journals torn open, scrolls unfurled, diagrams pinned on walls, and arcane artifacts humming softly with spent magic. Her fingers were stained with ink and chalk and something that smelled of wither.
It had been months since she met it, the entity that smelled like endings and felt like frostbite. She had named it Kaldruna, though she wasn’t sure it had ever truly had a name. Kaldruna was not a woman, not a True Immortal, ...

Freja thought she wouldn’t be able to get any rest that night but shortly after falling into bed she was out. Exhaustion both physically and mentally had worn her down. However, just because she managed to sleep didn’t mean it was restful.
Shadows haunted her dreams, the horrors of the past few days replaying in cruel, fragmented loops. The troll loomed over her, just as it had the day her family abandoned her. The wolves snarled, their teeth flashing in the dark. The villager...

Muninn found it quite amusing how easy it was to manipulate people with a few shiny pieces of metal. Copper, silver, gold, mithril these metals meant nothing to her. The orbital station’s fabricator could create them near endlessly thanks to the divinity of the Forest Father. She smirked as Lemmy led her around the first floor with a dumb grin across his face.

The moment Bjorn stepped into the Blood Maya, it consumed him. It was thick and churned, like wading through a lake of ink. Every motion was met with resistance, as though the liquid itself fought against him. Bjorn knew it wasn’t really a fluid even if it felt like it. He was swimming in the infernal planes equivalent of a lightning bolt. If he wasn’t a True Hydra he would be very dead.
Time itself seemed to freeze the moment he submerged himself. He became increasingly aware and a...

The door to Nuriel’s study opened with a gentle hiss. Isin went to lower his head but was stopped by Nuriel’s hand which held his face. Isin didn’t see when she approached. She was in her human form a perfect faux-human appearance that would drive normal men wild but only discussed Isin. Her perfect face was twisted into deep self satisfaction. With a wave of her hand the Ophanim was dismissed and vanished without a trace.
Isin swallowed, forcing his voice to remain steady. “My D...

The familiar black obelisk loomed before them, its surface humming with aetheric power, pulsing like a heartbeat. The Administration Site stretched across the landscape, a vast and sprawling complex where at least one hundred thousand humans lived, worked, and died within its suffocating protection. All of them were slaves to the whims of the so-called divine and her cruel machinations.
Inside the barrier, the world seemed deceptively peaceful. The sky was whole, a vibrant blue in...

Ulfar Salstar was the embodiment of ruthless ambition, a man whose gaze never wavered from the conquest of power. To him, people were nothing more than disposable instruments to be used, discarded, or broken as needed. His mind allowed no room for sentimentality, no patience for weakness. Loyalty was a meaningless concept, family a vessel for his aspirations, and friendship an illusion entertained by fools. The only currency he valued was strength. Those who wielded it were worth his respect;...

The ground was like puddy in the area of the second monster's domain. It was hard to move as Bjorn’s feet continued to sink any moment he wasn’t moving. He had not seen the elusive beast but the taste of its chaotic geokinetic magic was everywhere. It didn’t take long before he felt vibrations underneath him.
“Nope, not waiting to see what freaky shit is down there.” Bjorn said.
He didn’t hesitate. He took a deep breath—his lungs igniting with power—and unlea...

The days seemed to burn away faster and faster as Bjorn circled the main skyland. Bjorn had learned to hunt smarter, to use his environment to his advantage. He had mapped out the routes of the lesser creatures, found the paths that kept him just out of reach of the true horrors lurking in the deeper parts of the skyland. He had memorized the shifts in the weather, the changes in ambient mana density, anything that could give him an edge.
The forest was dangerous the further he we...

Ingrid's first sensation was cold. Not the cold of wind or snow, not the cold of Gladsheim. It was a chill that ran deep into her very core. It wrapped around her bones. It slipped beneath her skin. It was like the touch of a phantom.
The second sensation was pain. Her body burned as hot and as the moment the thunderbird struck her with its lightning. She didn’t know where she was, if she was alive, if she was dead. She had no strength in her limbs and her eyes refused to open. ...

The wind howled through the Diredain Forest, carrying with it the scent of blood and fire. Snow, once pristine, was stained crimson, trampled by the dead and dying. Beyond the twisted, ice-laden trees, the war raged. Gladsheim, the sacred city of the wendigo that had fallen to druid occupation, loomed in the distance, its once-glistening spires now cracked and scorched by siege. The walls, still standing, bore the scars of war where druidic bombardments had struck. Ancient wards flickered in ...

Bjorn had long since lost track of time which is why he had to rely on Failsafe’s timekeeping. There was no sun here, no moon, no stars to mark the passage of days. The aurora overhead never faded, shifting in its ghostly colors, casting eerie light upon the floating skylands. The distant glow of the Flaming Forest burned against the sky like an angry false sun.
Challenges rose as the mana hurricane continued to peel back the secrets of the world and yet, despite the odds, he was stil...

Sorry guys, I have been very sick the past week. Today and yesterday was the first time I have even been out of bed in a few days. Needless to say I am getting better and the worst has hopefully passed. I will be continuing writing very-very soon. So we can get through the final chapters of Wandmaker. Being sick gave me some time to think at least... The break was certainly not planned but we will resume this week but not today. I will have new chapters to make up for the lost time soon!

Weeks had passed, and Bjorn had made frustratingly little progress. There were no signs of a mana tree, no glimmer of mana crystals, just an endless, merciless struggle for survival. The vast skyland, which had initially seemed like a blessing, had turned out to be a nightmare.
The Sanguine Traveler was far from the only threat. Unlike the mindless beasts that charged headlong into danger, the creatures here were smarter. Many of them displayed a disturbing level of intelligence, huntin...

Eira and Ragnar sat in silence at the grand dining table. It was supposed to be a family meal, but Ragnar’s usual sharp tongue was dulled by brooding silence. Their father was entangled in negotiations with the First Princess, their mother was on the frontlines, and none of it made any sense to Eira.
She was the youngest of the Salstar children, but unbeknownst to anyone, she was a regressor. Over and over again, she had lived this life, each cycle unfolding with painful familiarity, ...

His body passed through the stone as though it were no more solid than a dense current, yet it clung to him, pressing in on his scales like wet clay trying to swallow him whole.
Immediately, he felt blind. His limbs and tails moved smoothly, his many heads twisting and undulating as he adjusted to the strange sensation. Inside of the...
