I think I'm pretty much done with this page (aside from lettering) I just had a bunch of anatomy and perspective issues to fix. Also, for some reason Colt's arm was coming out sort of... purple-ish instead of looking like scar tissue. Really happy with lighting and coloring on Vlora. May have to do some more work on the background now that I look at it again.

I meant to upload the first page on Monday, and the second Page on Tuesday, but they got away from me a little bit. I need to clean up some things and fix some anatomy, but these drawings are like-- 80% of the way there. Who knows. I may have some of part 4 done way before part 3 is finished. Starting Monday I'm going to start working on Toph Heavy Part 4. I'm going to do things a little bit differently with this one. Previously, I did things sequentially. As in First I drew page 1, then I drew page 2, then page3, etc.
This time I'm going to draw R34 scenes first, and then I'll draw the connective story tissue between them. I'm hoping this keeps the page count reasonable and allows me to focus on making sure that the parts I enjoy drawing, and that most people ...

So you know how I said I was feeling better after being sick and was going to get back to work? Yeah, my body made a liar of me and I was knocked down for another week. Sorry. I am much better now. I can actually breathe and sit up straight without the world spinning. Soooo.... I'm back to work this week, but I will be gone from the 5/21 to 5/30. I don't want to go into details but I've been ill and didn't get much done this week. Hopefully next week will be better. The basic lighting in all of my pages starts off as cel shading because its easier to work out how the light falls across form that way. So this is still very early in the process for this page.
I made a lot of progress today. I did a couple of redraws, and cleaned up the next five pages.

I got 3 pages for you today. One thing I learned from the Rockini Piece... I really need to focus on backgrounds. In that piece I specifically decided on and painted the background before I did anything with Toph. That isn't my typical workflow and I think it should be. I've spent a lot of time trying to make these backgrounds good after the fact when I think things would've turned out better had I focused on them first.

Hey guys, back at it again. Had to take a break last week due to some personal drama, but I think (hope) that it's been taken care of. I'm kind of upset because I was on fire with the recent Toph Rockini Pin Up, and now I feel super cold. So its taking some time to ramp up.
I'm not a huge fan of where this is right now, but I didn't want to go too much longer without updating you. I'm going to continue to work on this over the weekend.

I've been feeling unhappy with my work lately, so I enrolled in some online illustration courses to try and improve, but before I go through them, I want to establish a baseline. I'm at the point with this now where I feel like any adjustment I make will make it worse, so this is my baseline.
I specifically put what I know about composition, foreshortening, anatomy, background painting, color, and lighting into play to the best of my ability.

Normally, I try to take my weekends off to avoid burn out, but I liked this page so much that I kept working on it. The big change here is that I added dialogue and a rimlight. Where is the Rimlight coming from? Who cares. It looks neat. But I also made a more subtle decision to lower the brightness of the main light falling across her breasts so that the detail of the highlights would be more visible. Only got this page rendered. We got about a foot of snow and I spent half the day shoveling. More snow tomorrow too, so there will likely only be one thing to show tomorrow too.
